She was a creature who was never allowed her full potential; any desires for achieving great things in her life were snuffed by the cruel intentions of fate itself as her mother's last breath was stolen from her in those dreadful moments beneath the ash and rock of disaster.
No ambitions had risen from her - no reasoning for finding something worth living for any longer. All that she had ever lived for, cared for, and would have died for is now gone forever without her. All that remains are the deep, dug in scars in her callused heart which she tries so valiantly to protect from the horrid nature of the outside world. She will not allow herself to fall victim to the murderous objective that fate has now seemed to have placed upon her head.
For what reason she had to make the swim to the small island was unknown; her mind was a blank slate, her feature devoid of all emotion. She wanted to escape and find her own solace within the shady solitude of the chunk of land in the midst of the cool water. She was quickly upon the sandy shores and making her way inland to find a spot so that she may remain somewhat hidden and yet still capable of viewing others who visited the fields. She wanted to observe, to sit in her own silence and absorb all that surrounds her as if it would expel whatever demons that now haunt her wretched soul.
