News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

The alpha could very well have been from the tundra, though I knew that to not be true. Though the tundra was sparce of life, that didn't mean that word did not spread fast. The cold winds did not speak of a wolf marked with darkness, therefore I knew she was not of the tundra. But else where, yes. There were stories of the wolves of the mountains, but I did not know how true they were. They said the wolves were descendants of those of the tundra that ran to the mountains because of a great storm but never returned. But these were just stories and those who left to seek out the truth never returned to the tundra. There was few rules of the tundra that held to everyone, not just certain packs: one of which was that if you left the tundra, it was considered desertion and now could be killed upon your return.

"May I ask you an odd question, Ailith?" She asks, but it is clearly a statement. She would ask regardless of whether or not I wished to be asked. Or course I saw no reason why there would be a problem, she had the right to ask me whatever she wished. "Do you think you could follow an order unquestioningly?" She asks with a tilt of her head while sitting down onto her haunches. This was a question that would need to be asked, for an assassin at least. We were expected to follow out or tasks without question, other wise we would never get anything done. Even if it seemed wrong, you did it anyway. But I must confess to her, the one time I did not follow my order unquestioningly. How I questioned it, and in turn left my sister hood to come here.

I nodded my head. "She can follow any order unquestioningly, it is how she was raised in the ways of the assassins. Though she feels obliged to tell the alphess one thing about herself, so she can gauge whether Ailith is worthy to join despite knowing these truths, I said, stopping to make sure I had her full attention. Telling her this could make or break my chances here, but i'd rather her know and deem me unworthy than be left in the dark and deem me worthy. "Ailith originally comes from a sisterhood of assassins. They are led by one known as the mother, she makes the decisions for them and is actually they're mother; being the only one allowed to breed at any time. The sister hood follows a creed, it is how they kept order. The first creed was to never kill the innocent, the assassins followed this knowing if they broke the creed they would be executed. Ailith was one day given a mission from the mother, to kill a wolf. She went out, without question to do her job, but when she scouted the wolf, she found him to be of innocence. She wondered why the mother would have her break the creed and ask her to kill this wolf. So she returned, without killing, and asked the mother why he needed to be killed. She gave no answer and so Ailith did not kill, following the creed, and instead spied on the mother to find out what was going on. She discovered the leadership of the sisterhood had been corrupted by an outside pack. Ailith could not follow a leader who was weak like the mother, so she left to find a new place." It was a long tale, one I hoped did not bore the queen. I had only once in my existence done this and it was under special circumstances. I hoped she'd understand this and still allow me to join. It also showed that I believed Purge to be a strong leader, because I refused to use my skills for those who were weak, like the mother.

Death surrounds, my heartbeat's slowing down. I won't take this world's abuse. I won't give up, I refuse. This how it feels when you're bent and broken. This is how it feels when your dignity's stolen. When everything you love is leaving, you hold on to what you believe in....
