The caves are where it all started. They allowed the first wandering wolves access to the land of Blossom Forest, and afterward housed the monster that had threatened the earliest of inhabitants. The heroes had slain it, yes, but in doing so had also closed off one of the pathways in the caverns, magic blocking one of the many exits to Blossom Forest. But over the years, the original spell has weakened and now the way is clear. What will not only crawl out of the caverns, but erupt from it? The caves now thrum with the ever growing magic wellspring as it spreads out into the land. It is from here that the first vampire of Blossom Forest was corrupted, and it is here that any subsequent vampire will be born. To traverse its paths is dangerous - there is an almost impenetrable darkness, and in that abyss lays many secrets - hidden holes one could fall through, weakened floors, and then of course there is the labyrinthe itself. No one knows what the deeper levels hold - no one has traveled them and survived to tell tales. Not even those who call this place home dares to test their luck by going in deep, deep, deeper. The magic exuding from this place has rearranged the lands - moving packs, changing the terrain. Here the cave looks the same but it is not - it is more dangerous than ever. In addition, outside the mouth of the cave the sacred stones that once stood erect in another place now stand guard. They are colored the most beautiful arrangement of jewel tones, and almost appear to be made of gems themselves, no longer the dull grey they once were. It is within them that all official fights must take place - at the Blican Orlege. Welcome to Drylic Cofa...

~Disappear only to Reappear~

He felt like screaming. The dreadful awaiting screams echoing in his ears. He was so close, but the darkness was eating him away. Her scent flew in towards him, prying away through his dry skin. But, before anything happened, she appeared in front of him, and the little pup inside of him that he swore had escaped him hurtled out of his jaws, whispering and burning a hole through the air that should not have ever happened. He sucked it back in, or tried, at least. But of course, failure was inevitable. The varg straightened his shoulders, rolled his head into a locked position so no matter how much pain and suffering he could undergo in one minute, he would appear strong. No matter how hard his heart was breaking inside. Several long moments of eager silence bit and tore through the cold breath of the cave, sending waves of chills down the emperor’s spine. His blue gaze, somewhat less frozen than it had been several hours before, locked onto hers. He watched her, seeing the tips of her claws bend and start to move, pulling away from him and the rest of the world he had begun to love. But, as she took a step back, he struggled to lift his foot and follow, but stopped. An aud flickered. He could only go so far until the only choice left to make was hers. And only from there did the she speak.

“"What is there existing that could possibly end
We have only a few days together spent
For something to end, it first has to start
Don't you dare think you found a way into my..."

Her voice, riddled with rhyme and flowing with supple words and emotions, melted to frozen entrails of his gaze. Zev would not have believed he would hear it once more, as the undeniable present always was in his path. So he stood, and he thought carefully of his next actions, barely hearing the whisper “heart” crystalize off the vixen’s lips at his back. Now was do or die. As it so very would be; do or die. So. Should he begin?

“As you probably now better than me, a mere glance at someone creates assumptions and thoughts about their character that cannot, and should not, be explained. They dwindle with the name of that wolf until their true person breaks through that protective shell with as little must as it can stir up. You can’t, or at least, I can’t, deny that my original thoughts of you have entirely disappeared, away into the wind with the rest of everything already gone.” He took pauses, graciously, thinking through his words before slithering them back out through his kissers. Thought was turning his mind, sending emotions and different feelings wanting to drive through his closed ivories and into the world. But, he would be slow; lend only the important parts as most of it he would need for later. “We have more than just started. Started means sitting near the edge of a watering hole and talking gently about the days that have come and passed, and nothing more. I understand what you feel, and I hope that you can, in turn, perhaps do the same for me. But, the only thing that I can say now is this.” He paused again, wanting this to be the best sentence he had ever spoken in his short, mediocre life.

“Athene, when you fell through the ice, and left, the reality of who I was surged through me to be processed into my mind. Who I was as a wolf, and who I wanted to become merged together to create something. When I did wake, some long time after, it dwindled, as unconscious thoughts are hard to keep. I hate figuring life as a pathway, because that is not what it is. It is about something short, though it is the longest thing you could ever do.. But, at the same time, you leave the shelter of a tree during a thunderstorm and stride out into the day without anything left and forget about everything that has happened so you can start over. That is not controllable. I don’t want to be led through a journey. I want to lead it myself, only with someone at my side gliding down their own path that is somehow mixed with mine. You have shown me compassion, the small hints that throw you out for a loop and that you must not lose. But really. I don’t know what love is. I doubt I ever will be able to put a word to it. But I feel that I am beginning to love you.

“There is something I cannot change. It comes down to only a choice. And I have made mine. But, the only wolf that can make yours is you.”
He stood, gathering himself. “At life and death, you can only think of yourself. At life and death, you need the ability to make room for yourself without the prying claws of guilt bleeding down your neck. If you don’t see your life with me, I have no choice but to understand, however it is more than that. I will understand. Not because I have to, but I simply just will.” He took three paces back, the eyes of darkness bending the tips of their pelts away. This was not a moment of coming forward and giving in, or leaving and shutting up. This was not a moment to move. No. Too much endless cliche would be mingled together, and that was not what Zev wanted. Athene would find her own way of creating a choice; he felt it in his bones. So the titan stood watching; not expecting, hoping, dreaming, creating a world filled with grief and sadness. But of self respect and identity. Because that really is only what we are.
