Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

She kept her eye on the creature that was her half sibling. Scallywag kept the wise words of her mother in the back of her mind. Never trust your half-siblings. Perhaps Harridan recognized the madness that Abraxus' blood seemed to breed against itself. D'Manaco was for sure not to be trusted. She watched as Stella puffed up, as if all her pretty parading could intimidate a creature with no natural fear of death or harm. She kept her eyes even with Stella as the older girl studied her and pronounced her weak. Even that did not cause Scallywag's fur to rise, or a lip to curl. The yearling wench was far too peculiar even at this early mark in her life to display such common body language that would give away any of her thoughts or feelings. A cold-hearted wench with little regard to anyone was the Pirate Queen. She kept her eyes peeled onto the older sister. It was a shame they would get off to such a beginning, but perhaps it would be for the best.

The only break in the stare-fest was to recognize that Maud had revealed herself as well. Maud, the anchor in stormy seas, the voice of reason in the cacophony of maddness. Scallywag's gaze returns to Stella. It was hard to tell if she heard the booming of her sire's voice, or the way his words oozed with promise of plunder and gold for every soul willing to ride out the wrath of what army would come down around them. There was a mild increase in her heartbeat as she thought about this other and how she would show her that there was no fear in this seadog of her elder half-bred sister. She does not move. She does not twitch. She simply stares.

It was only when Kiska enters the scene that Scallywag moves. And the move, oh the move, was simple. She lunged. There was no warning. There was no signs other than the sudden rush of movement. She lunged for the leg, for a grasp of flesh between her teeth. Sure, she was probably only about eighty pounds, and even at her full height, she would never be the kraken that Stella was--but what did it matter. She had the element of surprise. She had the desire to cause damage even if nothing but a skin wound. If she missed it would not matter to her, she would not instigate further. If she caught Stella's leg, it would be a swift swing of her head before she released and stood next to Maud.

Either way, with Maud by her side, Scallywag's voice rang out, every word snarling out of her mouth, "Next time, I'll rip your tongue out and feed it back to you. You flea-infested blaggard." Who was weak now? Scallywag may yet be small but she was fierce. She kept her focus peeled on Stella and largely ignored the adults. Still, with all her vigor, her scruff remained smooth and the pinks of her gums hidden beneath her lips.
