He is not sure why he finds happiness when her fur bristles. It almost makes him want to circle her again. He liked the way he felt. He had felt he was stronger than she was bolder; even if he wasn’t quite sure what it all meant it yet he knew it was something he was determined to feel again. “Something the matter?” He could not help his childish grin. He couldn’t shake desire to pull on her ears or pin her he like the feeling of control. He liked seeing her reactions it was new seeing as she is the first creature of his size outside of his sister. Perhaps he could toy with her in the same manner and yet he seemed more willing to sink sharp pins in his flesh and blood than this stranger. Was it fear? No. He simply did not see need to but didn’t doubt it would occur in the future because really who wouldn’t want to see their opponent give in and do what you want them to do? He has watched mother, father, and brother take life or hold it in their jaws it was something he wanted and was desperate to do. He was drawn from his thoughts as she spoke.

He couldn’t help the frustration on his features. “You are lucky you are taught that, my parents are lazy so brother teaches me but he has not taught me that skill… What is killing like?” The eagerness clear in his voice he had seen and recognized the pleasure they got he even wondered what it was like to be in their teeth. He wanted to understand, learn, and experience the thrill he saw in the murderous eyes of his family. He too would be a killer, he would cause suffering and pain he was to be greater than his father and brothers. As she speaks once more he wants to be mad but he is also proud. No one is better than he and no one has learned more than he at his age. “So you have never killed?” He was arrogant and puffed up as he searchers her reactions he wondered what it would like to make one his size angry. The adults were always boring when he made them angry but her? She could be fun to anger and yet he couldn’t give himself to it quite yet, no he must wait. He had just found this friend.

Her cold gaze and tone was welcome in his world he only looks mad when she speak of her mother being harsh. “You can get others to share food.” He had gotten food many times from other strangers and it was not a hard task to accomplish. “Have you left the pack alone or are you scared?” He was clearly testing the waters he was eager to know how far he could push his companion and what it would take to stir a retaliation. He was never meant to be silent this was what he was to be, what he was to do. He was to cause trouble.

Her watched her gesture and listened intently. “Race ya.” He challenged before pushing her slightly with is muddy paws and making his way towards the ignescent quacking only looking back from time to time to make sure she was not far behind. Being slow never wins the race. I do not care what those white wolves say in their stories. He was happy to let his restless young mind be freed finally able to enjoy his company. If only things of youth could last a life time… perhaps this would.
