Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

It was hard to believe it was fall already. The trees had been changing becoming dead but colorful matching my pelt of russet and black. Fall was my season, for hunting was made easy and with it meant the end of another year and I grew only more. It was slowing finally leaving me at a hulking height of around 38 inches and my weight of about 130 lbs. I am still not done, I stalk a leveret this day but it is merely a snack to be had. My hunger had been growing again with the coming winter and be it instinct or my demon blood, perhaps even just my growth that I wish to start killing any prey that cross my path. Mother told me of the rituals of my bloodline, the laws, and to be sure they were interesting. I was a sword born of demon culture, shaped into what I am by its laws and rituals yet honed by an angel’s wet stone sharpened to be what I am now. I was something not demon or angel though raised by both cultures, shaped to kill and yet I do little.

I stalk a girl of Glorall who had caught my interest as a child use my skills on nothing but mindless prey. Sometimes I wish I could be as ruthless as the demons I was born from, be in constant war in battle, but something ‘nicer’ in me I suppose stopped me. Was it my white marks? The ‘good’ that my mother was supposed to control or else she were to purge me of the world. It wasn’t her choice though, she wanted to kill me right then and there as blind helpless pup but Malina wouldn’t let her. She had insisted that we were kept ad raised but Alphonse was chosen to go to the demons, wheter he was there ornot I have no idea, and I well I stayed with Malina for my undesirable markings would have put a target on my back. And perhaps the blackend fem that my mother coveted also wanted to keep me.

For now though I pursue the young hare, nibbling harmlessly on grass unaware that I was coming. It was over before it even knew I was coming. A flash of my white fangs and a crack and spurt of blood. It was over for him. I clench my prize in my jaw its form giving the last twitches until growing still. I drop it, looking at is now limp brown form passively. Perhaps I will bring it to my sky colored friend in Glorall. I had attempted to join her but perhaps beating up one of the princesses was not the wisest of ideas. Instead I lurked around the borders or just inside watching her progress her train. I am not sure of my fixation of her, she is nothing but hell fire embodied. Perhaps that is why, I wish to control something that seems very untamable a challenge even to me.

I needed to go back and perhaps attempt to ‘officially’ join Glorall and be with her so that we can train and grow together. I just needed to make sure the true alpha Tesseract did not wish to get ‘revenge’ for the game we had played with his red pelted daughter. I could take him if he did, was sure of it, I am young but my mother made sure I was not weak. Dislike her as I may she made me different. I pick up the hare and begin to move to the river that borders Glorall, white eyes gazing across the river thinking what I should do about my rather inconvenient situation.
