I was looking at the Piedmont Historical Society site this morning and see that Betty Jean Dill has some information there about the John B. Easterwood family.
I hope she, or someone, can help me solve a mystery that has plagued me for many years.
My Ancestor, Wlm. G. Briant/Bryant (1808-1890 -- son of James Richardson Briant/Gemima Dillard), was married four times. His first wife was an Easterwood. I don't know her first name, her dates, or her parents. James Reid once suggested to me that her father might be a John Easterwood.
They had two children, Maria Jane (b 1837) and Columbus (b. 1839). Maria Jane may have married a Coleman; not sure.
Wlm. G. married ca 1840 Maria McDade and they had three children, including my grandfather.
Is it possible that Unknown Easterwood, wife of Wlm. G., was the daughter of John B. Easterwood?
I wrote Betty Jean but her email address bounced back.
Any help you can offer will be most appreciated,
Glenna Bryant Kinard
