I hit the lake for the first time Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. The crappies are biting, seem to be just getting going good. I also hooked quite a few nice gills. The bite on Monday was very aggressive, I fish minnows and all the fish were slamming them, even the gills. Waxies were also producing nice fish, but fewer. All fish were caught from tight cover in deeper water areas. I kept a good meals worth, the rest went back in. No record breakers but good fishing.
