Danny listened intently, devouring every word Khasekhemwy spoke about the original fairies. There were a lot of things that he, still just a boy no matter how much he might study, did not, perhaps could not, understand, but this... He thought he could sympathize, at least a bit. Sometimes, no matter how much you tried to do good, you flubbed things up more than if you'd just let it alone. And there were always those who were just plain bad, like the boy he'd seen harassing Thoth, so he supposed the deities would not be much different. He bit his lip and nodded, his eyes slightly distant as he pictured what it would be like to have all that power, but at the same time be left without real connections. His family grounded him, reminded him of things like manners even when he wanted to forget them. What would he be like, what kind of person would he grow up to be, if he didn't have them?

Danny's attention was quickly recaptured by the offer of instruction on the other gods, and he listened eagerly with his mouth just slightly ajar (not exactly the most brilliant expressions, but at least it wasn't gaping!). On a fresh sheet in his notebook, Danny hurriedly jotted down notes in "Dannyhand" as the deity instructed him on Allianah. Danny paused a moment as Khase explained that several of the deities could be considered patrons of healers, causing him to wonder which he ought to speak with when or if it became necessary. He looked up, eager, as Khase revealed himself to be one of those deities. That was good to know, since he'd already built something of a rapport with his teacher. It was good to know he had someone he could approach without too much fear (although Danny still had a healthy respect for the deity and his powers, he didn't find him quite as intimidating as Rhaegar.

Danny leaned forward as Khase revealed the warrior's symbol, etching a small copy of it onto his notebook, and scribbled in addition the deities warning about said symbols. He frowned a little at that, trying to picture where he had seen some of the deity symbols before. Hadn't he seen them on the walls of the Sable Wadi, when he visited with Doctor Gupta recently? Perhaps those were different, though, since they were stories rather than personal markings?

Danny frowned a little at Khase's revelation, explaining that the goddess disliked males to a certain extent. It would be difficult, then, to earn her respect. But he would do it, if he had to. If there was something Allianah could teach him about healing that he did not already know, something that Khasekhemwy and Doctor Gupta could not share with him, he owed it to his patients to speak with her. But that, he decided, was a worry for another day. Dylan would be the one who had to worry the most about such things, being a warrior in training himself.

When Khase revealed the proper ways to address Allianah, Danny repeated them dutifully as he wrote them. He tripped a bit over kheneti in particular, but would practice before if he ever needed to speak with the woman. At Khase's warning, the boy nodded.

"She does seem rather..." Danny fidgeted and cleared his throat. "Fierce. Do you have any rivalries among the originals, sir?"

Danny blushed then, realizing the question might have come across as less than polite. He fidgeted, uncomfortable, but didn't retract his question. It was out there now.

"I think that's good for today, sayedy, but would you tell me about yourself next time, possibly?" the boy blushed again, clearly unsure if the question was acceptable or not. He glanced down at his notebook, several pages now filled with various information. "Oh, and what tasks should I complete before we meet next?"

He knew he was to study the alphabet, but wasn't sure if there was anything extra the deity wished to assign him and wanted to make sure he didn't have any major questions before he departed. Sol, sensing the lesson drawing slowly to a close, sat up with a loud, abrupt snort.
