My brother had always told me and treated me like I was an stupid. He believed he was smarter than me, and in some ways he was, but I was not an idiot. I was a wolf of the mountains after all, and what I lacked in sheer size and strength I made up for with wit and speed; I was the David to their Goliath. Also going against what my brother thought of me, was that I was a coward. True I had run and fled when he slaughtered our family and friends, but I was only preserving my life from someone I knew would kill me if I tried to fight him. Believe me I thought about fighting him, I was so engulfed in rage at what he had done, but the scales of fate had weighed heavily in his favor. There was bravery in my heart, even if it was hidden by my shy nature. I had to be brave to come to Iromar, to stand when the demon circled me. Hell I had to be brave to even speak! So don't for one second mistake me for being a coward or stupid, i'll show you just how wrong you are. My eyes that had Artemis's visage burned from the flames inside them.

The demoness had chuckled a few times, which meant I was doing something right with her. I was testing the waters in this situation, watching intently and learning from the ways this wolf moved and spoke. If I wanted to live with demons, I was surely going to have to understand them, and that had to start now. I also knew I was being tested, and that i'd have to pass these tests or leave; possibly breaking and becoming a different wolf in the process. But this risk's benefits far outweighed its cons. My brother would not attack me here, he was smart enough to fear the demons like all wolves did, like I did.

"And just what do you think you have to offer us Demons? What could you have that we possibly want?" She asked, taking a step closer right into any personal space I once had. I did not drop my gaze from her sapphire pools that seemed to stare straight into my very being. I had not come here empty handed, thankfully. I had my uses, I just hoped the demons required them, for my own sake.

"I clearly do not come bringing strength or size for a soldier," I said with a light chuckle, making fun of my lithe frame. There was no use crying over spilled milk, these were the cards I was dealt in life. " So I compensate with speed, agility, and an extensive knowledge of healing,"My mother and grandmother had taught me the art, seeing it necessary for me to learn since I would never be a warrior like my siblings. I never really appreciated what they had taught me till recently, when I saw how vital medicine wolves were no matter the pack. "Of course, while I can save a life with the right medicine, I can just as easily end it with the right poison, whichever is necessary," I said, my voice soft but confident just as it always was. I knew of herbs that would heal, as well as herbs that would kill. Every medicine wolf needed to know both. I just hoped these wolves would see what I could offer them.
