The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

What had she been doing? Something...She had been doing something of importance before her mind wandered away and with it, her body. Whatever she had been doing that was once of such importance, it lacked any substance to her now. A scent on the wind had drawn her away from the worn dirt path she was walking along the far border of Andere. The area she had been hiding out in was not very well explored. The only thing she'd stumbled upon around this part of her vast lands had been numerous deer and their meandering trails through the woods, along with a single mountain lion. The puma hadn't been very happy to see her wet form attempt to take shelter in his cave along the hillside. If it hadn't been for the torrential downpour, she never would have strayed into the cave. As it was, she realized her error as soon as she made it under the other predator's roof and made a hasty, back-peddling retreat to avoid the paw that had materialized before her face. That had been a bit of a rough patch. The queen wound up wishing she had Eric with her, despite the fact that even after sending him to deal with Lokii, she hadn't forgiven him one hundred percent. She was fairly certain that he'd been punished enough. She just wasn't ready to admit that she had been so deeply hurt by his decision to fall prey to Seline's advances. Part of her wanderings had been to separate herself from her family. This never boded well for the pack, but Cade liked to pretend she was ignorant of what happened when she disappeared for fairly long stretches.

As she followed the wind that blew in her face, the smell of Eric urged her to move faster as blood mingled with the heady scent of male. By the time she reached him, he looked like he was dead on the ground. The only thing that made her feel better was the fact that she could see his side heaving up and down as he inhaled and exhaled in his unconscious state. Her mismatched green and brown gaze settled on his form, silently considering how she should deal with him. A part of her was tempted to bite him somewhere and chide him for passing out after he came to. But the overwhelming majority of her brain was convinced by her heart to take pity on him and consider that it was her fault he was like this since she kept leaving him to fight her battles for her. Gingerly stepping around his outstretched limbs, she headed for the largest of his open wounds and sniffed at it for a moment. Dirt and leaf litter threatened to embed themselves in the pale flesh of her friend's body. Her mind made up, she flicked her tongue out and began methodically cleaning him.

Every now and then, her eyes strayed to his face, looking for the slightest sign that he was going to wake up and snap at her with those deadly jaws of his. It would be just like him to come out of an exhaustion induced sleep, defending himself with sheer instinct and killing Cade in the process, before realizing just who it was standing over him, ministering to his needs. As she finished with one wound, she moved onto the next until she'd cleared the gashes of crusted blood and debris. Having finished, she turned around to lap at the water for a bit. Knowing that he was stoic son of a bitch, she couldn't tell if he had woken up in the middle of her cleaning him up and pretended to remain asleep or if he still hadn't roused. She figured she'd settle the issue by dipping her muzzle into the water and shuffling quickly over to his face. A mixture of half drool, half stream water dripped on his skull as she hunched over him, her muscles bunched for a quick retreat in case he decided to retaliate. A goofy grin spread over her facade as she waited for a reaction from the vampire. She thought about the fact that he would want some blood when he came to, but pushed the idea to the side for the moment, deciding to taunt him instead of fetching him nourishment.

"Come on Sleeping Beauty, you're going to be late for the ball and your prince will be oh so unhappy that he didn't get to kiss you at the stroke of midnight."
