The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

My unconscious state slips in and out of dreams. There's Seline standing before me, those haunting green eyes predicting my every move before I even think to make it. Before I can speak, the image ripples like a reflection in a pool of water and suddenly it's Cade instead looking at me, judging me. She can see right through me like I'm transparent and I feel helpless to stop her piercing dual toned eyes. Even as she turns her back on me, my throat dries up and I lose my voice, my legs trembling beneath me as I stare speechless at her retreating form. She's so out of reach and yet still here. I can almost smell her intoxicating perfume even as her silhouette turns into an ant in the distance before it disappears completely from view. My nostrils wrinkle and there it is again, that strong delicious odor of her that I smell even in my moments of weakness.

Warm strokes across my skin like honey salve over the pain. It doesn't numb the wounds but it does soothe them like a healimg balm. My thick matted coat is brushed over with something sticky and sweet. It must be a tongue but whose? My skin prickles, friend or foe? I think of my encounters with prey, how I lick their wounds so tenderly, almost as if tending to them while I drain them dry. Another vampire? I groan but I can't seem to do much more than that, my eyes stubbornly closed to the world around me as I sink in deeper, threatening to fall back into a dream state.

The warmth is gone and my lips part with longing. The warmth was good. Without it, I feel lonely. A whimper threatens to escape my lips but the feeling is back, the warmth in a new area of my injured flesh, cleaning me, soothing me. A growl of pleasure drips from my curled lips, my fore paws peddling a little as I reach for the warmth but it evades me. When it's gone this time, it doesn't return like it did before. My eyelids start moving but they feel like concrete and I'm still unable to move them.

And then cool water dripping over my face like a waterfall. It's enough to pry the concrete from my lids as I open my eyes, hackles instantly bristling as my lips curl back in warning to whoever thought to pour water over my face. But before I can lunge, icy blues fall upon the retreating form and my lips close instantly, ears pricking forward, though they have to flick back and forth rapidly a few times to dispense of some of the water droplets caught in the fur. When I finally find my voice, it's ragged and low.

"Cade?...You came back."

My eyes seem to gleam with life, ears having caught the sarcastic quips from her glorious tongue as I try to find the smirk that's usually so easy to bring to my lips.

"Well, I guess you'll have to do then. Make it count."

My eyes search her face, looking for some indication she's at least thought about forgiving me for the whole Seline incident. I haven't spoken to her since the day she set me on Lokii's trail so maybe once she sees that I bled for her once more, this time without asking, it at least merits another chance. I start to move but the second my hip shifts on the ground, I throw my head back, howling in pain. Gritting my teeth through the after effects, I look back at Cade.

"But before we get to the kissing, I need you to do me a favor. You're going to knock my hip back into socket."
