The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

The huntress before Cade didn't bat an eye as the youthful queen stared at her with the unblinking countenance of one who had plenty of practice staring at others. her unwillingness to look away may have upset other alphas, but Cade had yet to develop any kind of interest in demanding immediate obedience. She may be naive about some things, but she had the wisdom to comprehend that obedience from her underlings could only be earned through a mutual trust and respect. For now, she'd settle for a willingness to behave civilly with others. Thalian's response to the crimson and ivory lady's words made a smirk quirk up on her lips. If she didn't have an image of queenliness to uphold, she might have offered the ess a nod of appreciation. As it was, Eric approached.

She had momentarily forgotten her injured knight. In fact, she realized as he spoke with an even tone that he was coddling his injured hip. He had mentioned something about her fixing that. Oops. Guess now he had to wait a bit longer. She disposed of her guilt, figuring that she could always wrap herself in it again later at a better suited time. Her musings about Eric's hip had distracted her from the words that he graced the air with, but her eyes caught sight of Thalian's physical response. Something like revulsion flitted across the female's mask and her retort to his question made Cade bark a sharp laugh before she schooled her expression and nudged Eric's shoulder to let him know she had noticed the female's odd behavior. The next thing out of the newcomer's mouth made Cade want to bristle at the implication that her cleaning job wasn't good enough to keep Eric healthy. Her eyes were the only thing that possibly gave away her slight upset as they flashed with emotion for the blink of an eye. Letting the comment go without a reply, she focused on the next words to reach her auds instead.

What an interesting thing to say. The possibilities of the numerous things Cade could order the female to do because of the words she had just uttered shuffled through her thoughts on fast forward for half a minute. A small, half grin lit her features and she opened her mouth to reply.

"Colors come in many shades. Not all of them are interesting, but they all have their purpose. And I have an immediate purpose for you. Eric here is in need of a feeding. I will give you an option of either hunting something down for him or offering yourself. I wouldn't really advise the latter option, but if you are truly curious about it, I'm sure he'll explain in a none too delicate manner. I for one, intend to make myself useful while you feed him in some manner."

She knew that Thalian probably wouldn't be happy about this order given her earlier vehemence towards her masculine companion. Truly, Cade wanted to push the envelope and see just how invested the ess was in upholding her earlier statement. Having finished her piece and without any other warning to Eric, Cade rocked back on her heels and then slammed herself full force into his injured hip. She figured she was less likely to get bitten if he didn't see it coming.
