She watched his body language change as she explained and was happy to see that it appeared he was listening to what she said. When she finished the explanation her ears perked towards him ready to answer any questions he may have to the best of her knowledge. She listened to the confusion of the younger wolf, and understood why.

"Ah, I figured you'd ask something like this, sometime soon. Well, throughout your life you will experience what we call life or death situations, in these situations it's hurt or be hurt and/or kill or be killed. We call the decisions the grey area, they aren't right but they aren't wrong either." That's when she thought of a situation scenario that might help. "Surely your parents warned you to beware of eagles, big cats, and bears when you were younger, that's because like we hunt prey we hunt them, but they also hunt us though eagles are more a puppy danger. They are trying to stay alive just as we are, so are they bad because they are just trying survive? Are we bad because we are too?" Pausing a moment the continued, "As for whether or not they have feels or not, I'm not the most sure on, I have heard stories of certain prey showing what looks like mourning for their fallen, but I have yet to see it." Then adding, “I'm not saying you can't do what you were doing as practice, stalking and chasing them without the end result. I'm saying if you want to eat or hunt for your family you will have to take down your prey." She said so that he understood that what he was doing before was fine for practice, just not for him to reach his goal.

She gave a small smile looks like he's not going to be deterred easily which was a good thing in her opinion. "Well, if I make a successful catch, either touch my head or nose to them, but I've seen some bow their heads too. Then I whisper only to their spirit, 'thank you, because of your sacrifice I will become stronger, and in turn continue to make your kind stronger'. Now some will look at you strangely for this, but if it helps you feel less guilty about it then you have no reason to mind them. Also make sure to whisper different things once in a while, because if you say the same thing every time it will deplete the meaning and makes it less sincere. This was a tradition in my old pack, and now I'm passing it to you."
