Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Night is not usually when she is out, but tonight, she had made an exception. After all, she had seen Meryl's father leave the pack and she wanted to know why! He was nothing like Meryl, this Azrael, but she had accepted that no wolf in Moladion made much sense. Still, she was curious about him and what better way to learn than to follow? He would likely have an objection, as would any wolf, but Yin never meant harm by her actions. If anything, she found her trailing to be a game of sorts. It had been fun, until the storm had come.

Accustomed to the harsh world of a nomadic lifestyle, she immediately darted towards the thicker parts of the woodlands, fast losing sight of her target. Despite the rather unappealing cold and wetness of the storm, she did find the sudden loneliness rather... pleasant, almost. It gave her time to think about Meryl and how she would next him him, even though she had done a poor job at keeping an eye on his father. Still, the lightning was a beautiful thing, illuminating she and the world around her in sudden flashes of daylight. She yipped in delight, prancing through the tangle of roots and leaves, her tail a waving banner behind her.

Then, when a flash of lightning once more struck the sky, a howl echoed through the tree tops. For a moment, she paused with her head cocked, absorbing the residual information that lingered in its own. It was a plead for help! Now, as Meryl's herb gatherer, she was able to help and, well, why not? Somebody needed her - or someone like her, at least! With another excited yip, perhaps a little out of place during such circumstances, she bounded off towards the call. She was a loud thing as she burst through the tree line, immediately landing her sights on the group of wolves that played around the tree. Like the sun, the tree glowed with heat, flames licking up into the sky, undeterred by the rain. How beautiful! She had to pause to stare up at it, wide eyed. Was this the sun attempting to meet the moon!? Was this why they were celebrating?

It was when she looked back to them that she caught sight of Azrael once more, her tail waving excitedly at the realisation that she had found him once more. With another yip, she jogged towards him, circling somewhat around the area before coming within a few feet of the group. What were they doing? Digging? Running about? It seemed like an unusual game. Were they trying to free the sun? They must have been!

With a bound, she moved beside Sorcier and Azrael, swatting at the pair with her paws before lowering immediately into the indentation they had caused. With a huff, she dug with all the speed her small body allowed, unearthing a root and biting down. As she did so, she pulled back, her paws slipping and sliding in the mud and yet, all the while, she growled and huffed with playful intent. How fun! A game of tug of war with the very forest!
