Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

It was overwhelming, really, the sense of dark that encompassed him despite his attempt at pleasantries. If she had come to him hoping to give him her usual attitude, then she had truly walked into the wrong atmosphere for such a thing. Instead, she felt almost suffocated, shifting awkwardly and musing quietly to herself as to what she could say. Of course she had heard what had happened, but she had had been, well, trying to ignore it really. What did it have to do with her? It seemed like it mattered more than she had initially thought. It did not help that he seemed so lost, seemingly less than receptive to her very presence, even when he did come to. Maybe she was lucky in a sense that she had never had a family, really, to lose. Perhaps that is why the feeling strangled her, too, though.

As he made no effort to come to her, releasing a sigh of sorts, she huffed quietly to herself before she launched herself closer to him. She scrambled over the rock, sneezing slightly as the spray of the water tickled her nose. It felt so wrong to have such... normal responses to stimuli, especially when Sleekwing hardly seemed to notice the world around him. Still, she had to be near to him at least, seated just off to his right as she tried to seem as nonchalant as possible.

Finally, he spoke, and she slowly turned to face him, blinking slowly as she tried to understand exactly what he had said. Despite the pain that practically radiated from him ... he asked how she was? For a moment, she stared at him slack jawed before she shook her head, her ears flattening slightly.

"Sad, I think."

She responded simply, nodding to confirm her words before she moved to face ahead once more, out and over the body of water beyond them. She spoke again then, her voice quiet though certainly loud enough to be a whisper over the crashing of water. Words only for him.

"I can feel your sadness. What can I do?"
