twelve - no heart - no soul - Spirane
this is her in blackouts
The pup seemed so clueless to the world, wandering around brazenly. All alone. The thought struck a chord within her and bounced around until all her brain could understand was danger, danger, alone, alone. It isn't that Natu is naturally a suspicious being, at least, not until recently, it is the wound that causes her to slip into these strange blackouts. Nothing computes as easily as it should. Instead her instincts take over. Now as she looks upon the sweet boy her motherly instinct flares - no mother, no father, he is all alone. Wandering in this violent, crazy world and speaking as if he has nothing to worry about. Her heart swells, her body quivers; how it would feel to once more have a child to care for! Memories of her family are vacant without her consciousness. She is as a robot but only she will know this, in time.
As Sven turns around to look behind him Natu smiles, a sweet, endearing smile. This poor pup. He needs guidance. She longs to sweep him into her chest and stroke his fur with her tongue. He wishes to fight? No! Pups do not fight. For a moment she is puzzled - why does he think she has been into a fight? The throbbing in her shoulder is confusing. She does not remember this nor the wound on her head. But she is focused once more upon Sven's monochromatic figure.
"Yes, I will child." Her voice is hoarse, a sound so unlike her normal voice that it is almost not Natu at all. She will teach him. He will be the best and she will protect him until he is large enough to fight off the crazy in this world. Somewhere in her mind she takes his question as an affirmation to what she is about to do. Natu steps forward now, crowding the pup, and leans her head down quickly in an attempt to wrap her jaws around his scruff to lift him up and carry off with her new-found child...
