The caves are where it all started. They allowed the first wandering wolves access to the land of Blossom Forest, and afterward housed the monster that had threatened the earliest of inhabitants. The heroes had slain it, yes, but in doing so had also closed off one of the pathways in the caverns, magic blocking one of the many exits to Blossom Forest. But over the years, the original spell has weakened and now the way is clear. What will not only crawl out of the caverns, but erupt from it? The caves now thrum with the ever growing magic wellspring as it spreads out into the land. It is from here that the first vampire of Blossom Forest was corrupted, and it is here that any subsequent vampire will be born. To traverse its paths is dangerous - there is an almost impenetrable darkness, and in that abyss lays many secrets - hidden holes one could fall through, weakened floors, and then of course there is the labyrinthe itself. No one knows what the deeper levels hold - no one has traveled them and survived to tell tales. Not even those who call this place home dares to test their luck by going in deep, deep, deeper. The magic exuding from this place has rearranged the lands - moving packs, changing the terrain. Here the cave looks the same but it is not - it is more dangerous than ever. In addition, outside the mouth of the cave the sacred stones that once stood erect in another place now stand guard. They are colored the most beautiful arrangement of jewel tones, and almost appear to be made of gems themselves, no longer the dull grey they once were. It is within them that all official fights must take place - at the Blican Orlege. Welcome to Drylic Cofa...

The brute appeared strong, but Athene could see the weakness behind his gaze, weakness she knew only too well seeing as she felt it as well. That was why she had run from him, for he was the one being that sucked away her strength and left her feeling vulnerable. She wished only to return home in order to return to her father’s regime. To regain her power, strength, and uncaring. Her stoic nature that eased her mind and gave her a sense of calm. But now, with Zev standing in front of her, she knew that she could never and would never return home. The change within her was too substantial, too great. She would never be accepted again into her childhood pack because she no longer belonged there. Their morals and ideologies… for so long she followed and believed in them, keeping them as her core values. That is why it had taken so long for her to escape from it. Her entire life, she had sought out a suitable mate, sought out a brute would be strong, swift, and fast. Intelligent, sleek, sly. And she had found them, found many of them. But they had all wanted more. Wanted a relationship, a life partner, a lover, a friend. She had wanted their seed and nothing more. Athene had left them all, for according to their law, she would never love any but her offspring. She was not like her mother, she was not a healer, not of the emotions. She was a warrior, and warrior’s were cold.

As she spoke to him, trying to prove that she was still devoid of such feelings, it was her sister who finished her rhyme. She was an unique, Athene, in both her lack of speech and her speech patterns, but this brute seemed to always mess it up. She had spoken out of verse… and she had also spoken in general. Spoken more than she ever had done in the rest of her life.

Just as she turned to leave, not to return to her father but just to leave, to forget these moments of weakness, his deep voice resonated in her mind. Athene found her form frozen, unable to move, his vocals holding sway over her. They seemed to go on, leading up to… something. And then it was apparent – he was baring his soul to her. All of it swept into her and then out, ruining her, terrifying her for the words she knew he was going to say. But I feel that I am beginning to love you. Bodice trembling, she collapsed to the ground. The last part of his monologue was auditory to her is slow motion, each word unfolding over the course of a minute, an hour. There is something I cannot change. It comes down to only a choice. And I have made mine. But, the only wolf that can make yours is you. At life and death, you can only think of yourself. At life and death, you need the ability to make room for yourself without the prying claws of guilt bleeding down your neck. If you don’t see your life with me, I have no choice but to understand, however it is more than that. I will understand. Not because I have to, but I simply just will.

Still turned away from him, her auds heard his footfalls fading and a gasp crept into her throat. She didn’t want him to leave her, but there was only one way to prevent that from happening. Perhaps she was too weak to say it now, but she couldn’t imagine a life without him. She couldn’t just let him leave. She couldn’t lose him. “Zev, wait!” It was a lack of rhyme once more, the only way she could think of to make him… to show him that she loved him. “Zev…” Raising to her quivering feet, she turned to look at him, her honey orbs peering at him. “Stay with me…

Hellene backed away from the pair, her job was done, she was no longer needed here. In fact, she was more of an intrusion. The moment between Athene and Zev was meaningful and beautiful and she had no part in it. Creeping backward, she carefully leapt her way down the staircase, knowing neither would miss her nor notice her absence.

OOC - hey sorry this took so long and was a little shitty...
