A black prince he says, his words echoing the sadden smile that ghosts his handsome face. She wants to erase such emotion, to replace it with contentment, with the wonder she has found she adored. She cares not for the demon’s name as it leaves his lips, instead snarling as she imagines the struggle, and the pain her heart must have suffered. Her heart. When did she begin to think of him that way? Instead of pondering upon it more she turns her head, still so close, to inspect the scars that are scattered upon his muzzle before opening her mouth.

”Do you wish vengeance? I shall wage war beside you if you seek it.”

Her words are soft as they brush upon his face, her sweet breath playing upon him as her eyes shimmer with dangerous anger yet steel resolve. A icy wall of inner strength that only wavers when he shifts, finally pressing themselves together in a comfortable position and a heady sigh leaves her lips. A sigh that turns into a uncharacteristic peal of joy as he tries her name. It pleases her very much when it passes his lips, loving the way he seems to caress each syllable and she cannot help the happy little sway her tail gives in response.

”Val..ker…e”She slowly pronounces it as best she can so that he can get it correct, her face a picture of adoration and contentment as his wondering gaze locks upon her visage. She is overflowing with encouragement as she faces him. ”Then it is settled. We are fools together in this wonderless world. Just you and I.” As her words leave her mouth her belly rumbles, as if saying you him and I. Her eyes duck for a second as if embarrassed before she remembers herself.

”Do you have a home? I am terribly tired and a tad hungry.”

She smiles up at him, her entire body completely at ease beside him. She will not move first, she would gladly sleep just this way despite the aches this position would surly cause her if need be. She feels whole, complete. She feels like nothing can no longer haunt her and that she can be…she can be free. That she can be without worry, without having to be what she thought she should be and the thought excites as well as terrifies her.
