The large male wandered through the forest his movements slow and precise, each one of his muscles showing through his thick coat. He lifted his nose to the air taking in the scents of the forest, he had been hunting but because of the river her had lost the scent of his prey, shaking his raven black pelt he continued on. He had a large powerful body yet he was somehow able to make no noise as he moved through the trees, his head low and his stance that of a bloodthirsty hunter seeking his prey but that was`nt the only thing about this wolf that screamed danger. The male was covered in battle scars though most of them where faded and hard to see against his dark fur, all except one....a long scar lay across his left eye which was bright yellow and seemed to be illuminated in the dark giving off a feeling of pure terror. This wolf was named rune and he was born of the damned ones, a pack that craved the sensation of ripping apart flesh and where extremely strong therefor despised by many.
Anyway rune was now on his own, after leaving the pack to fend for himself his brutal upbringing giving him a strong sense of independence but at the same time trusting issues. Rune stopped as he noticed the smell of blood and followed it to what seemed to be a river, he looked around and realized it was the romance river, sickened by the desperation in the air and uncomfortable with this many wolves he went to sit on a large stone slab under the shadow of a tall pine away from the others. His yellow eyes glanced around trying to pinpoint the scent of fresh blood but the smell of the females and the sound of the rushing water made it hard to concentrate.
