The girl had been polite, at least, though he could not help but notice her nonchalant attitude when it came to showing utmost submission to an Alpha. Perhaps he had always expected too much in that regard, but more often than not, all Alphas demanded the same respect. For now, he was happy to let it go, watching down at the two with a critical eye as he awaited his most trusted comrade to come. Surely, she would for it had not been so long ago that they had met on matters. Spirane, after all, had been an object of turmoil, it seemed, for some time.
Such a wolf came soon enough as the girl, this Lavender, began to speak once more. Tesseract motioned to Rogue briefly, shifting his gaze with a nod in her direction - a silent greeting, though the two of them were on identical wavelengths. However he had done so, he had managed to sway her loyalty and for that, he was eternally grateful. Though she had particular tastes, at times, it could not be denied that the lady was an intelligent, formidable opponent in any regard. Any pack would have been lucky to have her and yet, Glorall was graced by her.
As she proceeded to speak, he nodded in understanding, his eyes narrowed somewhat in thought. So, another wolf had taken over from Purge? He was unsure as to whether or not to be surprised. Alcide had been a formidable fighter, so surely Purge had been something if she had been able to trump even he and his mate. So, what did that make this Snowshoe? She was either a powerhouse of strength, or a particularly intelligent wolf. One could not say, not truly, for she had neglected to come to Glorall herself. Children had to learn, yes, but he would have liked to have at least.... seen her. All he could assume was from her son, who was hardly a good indication at such a young age.
Rogue spoke then, and he nodded towards her and then to Lavender and Sciathàn, a brow raising expectantly as he hoped to hear their answer to such an inquiry. After all, it would surely be a question asked time and time again. Wolves of Moladion were used to the rule of Moonglow and Alcide, no other.
"I do not doubt that another has taken a hold of the mountain, do not fret. What I doubt, however, is that such a wolf understands the nature of what Glorall and Spirane had.
It was a risk, of course, to align one's self with such a new Alpha - it had been the reason he had avoided answering to Purge, or even tending to Spirane during the farewell of Alcide. New Alphas often fell, and even he had suffered the silence of others packs when he had initially taken Glorall. If you aligned too early, you risked making an enemy of any ruler to come. He grinned rather slyly, his gaze once more sliding towards Rogue with an unspoken question - would they humor the pair? Surely Glorall could be persuaded, no? Tesseract, and Rogue, simply wanted... more information.
"I am curious as to what makes her rule any more worthy than that of Purge's. I ask this without offence. Alcide was a friend of mine, after all."
Alcide had also been competition and a threat at one point; they had met tooth to claw, that had been what had formed their alliance, after all. If Alcide had deserved his rule through consistently defending the mountain, then what made this woman just as worthy?
