Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

.:.Chii.:.

Quietly she slept; peaceful without even knowing it. Her ribs fluttered lightly as air was drawn confidently into her lungs, expanding them, where the air dispersed and her ribs would fall once again to rest in the safety of her petite skeleton. Soft exhales quivered the small stems of the rich flowers before her nares as she remained easily and care free in the gentle, warm, caress of sleep. Her body, so minute and diminutive, barely visible in the nest of glorious flowers, did not fidget or squirm but stayed still and immobile as a dark emptiness ruled the space behind her blonde eyelids. She did not dream for she had nothing to dream about and so, instead, Chii was simply left to sleep. Sun warmed her elfin frame as she lay beneath the rays of the golden orb, vulnerable to the ways and devils of the earth. Yet she slept, unaware of the dangers- as she had been for longer than a year now- that could befall her slumbering form. Once upon a time, she would have been more careful in where she indulged in sleep; less trusting of things she did not know. Once upon a time she had been loved and had loved in return and now she knew nothing of the life that existed before. No idea of who she was and who she had been; which was precisely why she rested so peacefully now- her troubles had all but been forgotten.

Eyelids flickered at the sound of paw steps before a force was rested upon her shoulder that dragged the vixen out of her slumber. However it was without the startling apprehension that usually engulfed a wolf when awoken suddenly. Instead her eyes were released from their covers with an unhurried fluidity, coffee portals coming to rest on the strange beast before her. For moments Chii remained dazed, vision hazed and blurred from her nap, her sight remaining on the creature before a yawn rolled from her skeleton; a long and bellowing thing that quivered her delicate frame like a blustery wind. Her body remained in the almost perfectly created ball though her tail was quick to escape from the confines and swish happily amongst the flowers. Not once did her tan lanterns leave the towering giant who had stumbled upon her existence and coaxed her from the safety of dreams, yet the same sincere smile came to rest upon her features as it so often did. It seemed that Chii would never be without the innocent grin- the only amount of emotion she would, could, produce.

He- the one who awoke her- was a variety of colours that where completely opposite to her own. Chii had been blessed with that of a pure coat; a mix of creams, whites and blondes that made her somewhat angelic. The only speck of colouration being the dazzling set of gems rested within her cranium. The gentleman on the other paw was a mixed palette of wonder, which enticed the fair maiden to study his form. Fur tussled and messy like a nest protruded from his skeleton as he glanced down upon her with lighter ochre lanterns. Russets, browns and blacks danced throughout his fur in a hypnotising pattern that Chii traced for mere minutes before her eyes moved back towards the creatures shoulders. They were broad and muscular- tight and strong beneath his coat- more so than the feya would ever be and for some reason the girl found herself drawn to him. Then there was his face, drawn downwards in a display that she knew nothing of. He simply looked strange and rather like the frightened creature with long ears that the miss had bounded after through the forest. Was he the same as that hopping alien? No! He was similar to her.

Paws unravelled themselves, with little grace and elegance, from the tight sphere she had created- her body stumbling forwards into the beings legs. Face squished against his limbs and rump in the air, Chii tried to right herself, grappling to find the ground on which she pushed against with a mighty force and ended up falling backwards onto her haunches. Petals from youthful, grey, dandelions flew up around her as one ear flopped to the side and an excitable yip squeaked from her lips. Once again her tail was left to flounder, like a fish out of water, upon the ground and flick up particles of dust. Her eyes blank and without memory, searched out the face of the intruder- summoned to it by some unknown force. When she found his eyes her head dropped to one side with her ears following in suit, much like the action of a pup. Another chirp sounded from her jaws before she jumped to her feet and moved closer to him, unaware of personal space. Now within licking distance Chii sniffed the entirety of his face before backing up and dancing- jittering- upon the ground.

This series of actions- though not intended- would surely test the brute’s patience and would allow him to decide whether he would truly be able to cope with one so- empty.
