One of the only female voices that called Andere home suddenly erupted into the silence, breaking the tense bond between the two males. If the silence had gone on any longer, who knows what might have happened between the two hellions. Skrillex, how charming of you to come out of hiding. And NeMO, to what do I owe this pleasurable run in? NeMO's vision snapped to the side, taking in the fatale though he had not even heard, or scented her arrival. Had he been that engrossed in the black and white stranger? She was watching him, that much he knew. Her listeners were turned in his direction, her war banner raised and a sort of barrier covering her as she walked towards the duet. Much to his 'delight,' she had settled in right next to him. Even more reason to be ashamed for not picking up on her arrival sooner. NeMO said nothing, as he had not been the one addressed first, and instead moved his russet watchers back to the unknown male, whose name, apparently, was Skrillex. Not moments later, the cow started making up excuses. I wasn't--I haven't been--... I haven't been meaning to hide, your highness. NeMO stiffened as that poisonous gaze shifted back to himself. I've just been keeping to myself. Same as everyone, it would seem. NeMO couldn't help it. The amused look that had been plastered onto his facial features not moments ago by the other male's surprised voice (though truthfully NeMO had probably mirrored the same unexpecting jump), slipped into a soft half-smile. Nice to fucking meet you too. It quickly disappeared, however as he recalled just what a sticky situation he had gotten himself into. Extremely concious of the closeness of the fae, the bastard leaned somewhat away from her, his auds flicked halfway backwards. He closed his portals, unwilling to let his conflicted emotions seep out in any way at all.
"You should never have to pay any kind of currency to the creature who gives you pleasure, ma'am. It is one of the blessings that comes along with being a fae, I am sure; being allowed to experience something close to delight at the unexpected appearance of another without first having to pay a toll. I am glad that this time it was not the spilled blood of brothers that payed for your own company. Perhaps there was enough tension to meet the required cost.". Wow. That was a remarkable amount of talking compared to the last time-- actually the last and first time that the pale brujo had ever come in contact with Cade. NeMO reopened his gray-lined watchers and nonchalantly moved his vision from Skrillex to Cade. And it was there that he made his mistake in staying on the fence about who he was in Cade's eyes (and, subsequently, in the eyes of the vargs he had come in contact with before). For before where he had kept his gaze down, complete submission to her position, and everyone elses as well, he now held her mismatched portals in a calm and collected fashion. By the time he realized that he had done it, it was too long of a pause to be considered a sort of shaken reaction to her. The newborn child of night did not put effort forward to hide his anger with himself. His pools dilated slightly and when he blinked, he allowed his eyes to travel away from her before reopening them once more. "Though why it is pleasurable, I cannot begin to understand." Obviously he was ticked, though any creature with a brain would be able to tell that it was not at any one save himself that such emotions were directed towards. Well, there was nothing he could do about it now-- he had made a choice, and there was no sense in pretending that it was anything else. Recalling that there had been a challenge recently, NeMO decided to be the one to make idle talk-- which again was a rare occurence, speaking of his own free will, and to make conversation with another varg as well-- but his hackles had not lowered themselves to a complete smoothed down position just yet, and his jaw was still tense with... apprehensio- no. Excitement. Excitement at the 'almost' fight. Perhaps it would have been better if the two testosterone-filled soldiers had been able to have a bit of a tussle before Cade had come around. In any case, his words filled the atmosphere, directed to the only lady of the group. I trust no injury has come to you as of late?
Needless to say, NeMO did not know that Eric had been the one to take the challenger. It was a stupid question, but it gave him time to settle himself back into his ghost-like manner that he assumed whenever he was around others-- in the way that if he wished to, he could slip away without calling attention to his absence first. Not that he could slip away here... In a gentlemanly fashion he would wait for the words to spring from her mouth, a few from Skrillex if he so wished to put in his own contribution to the pot of 'hello i hate everyone.' And then he would voice his words again. He was hoping for them to be his last, and he would not speak until spoken to again (at least that part had stayed with him-- manners manners manners). "Have either of you seen Eric recently?"The fact that he had addressed not only Cade, but Skrillex as well was his way of trying to 1) tone down the shit that had almost gone down between the two warriors and 2) get more information-- if one did not have an answer to it, the other might.
