I am the horror you created;

A half-hearted smirk slips through the stony expression cast upon her façade as she is provoked to respond. “My intentions are never any part of your business, Lucian.” She speaks coolly, looking up at him through hooded eyes now as she is halted in her path. His comment nearly had her speaking in retaliation, but she could not back up her word with truths, for she was not a creature that thrived in this environment any longer - she had sworn herself to the ravine. And so she stays silent, casting devious glares as he now rises from his resting place.
His stare is intense as he looms before her now, their deep purpled depths searching into Stella’s own frigid pair with no fruit for his efforts. His timbre changes, still the low, rumbling sound that she has become accustomed to and yet it now holds a softer edge to it - some part of sincerity. Her eyes leave his own as she looks into the abyss beyond them both, pausing for a long moment as she seems to contemplate whether she will answer his inquiry truthfully or not. She begins to step forward again, moving to push herself past his brutish form as she squeezes through the space that she is provided between he and the wall. She continues onward in this way, drawn deeper into the murky depths of the caverns that is her heart’s true desire, but she does not deny him an answer. “You are the singular individual who has seen something else entirely within me.. And for this, I find some part of you enticing.” She would not admit that these instances were judged on the one sole function within every living creature - or perhaps only those who choose to live as they should - the indescribable need to produce healthy, strong, and capable offspring. Lucian’s line is strong; and though his children have fled, all but one as far as Stella is aware, it is no doubt that they were terrors upon this land in each individual way. It is by nature’s own graces that Lucian stands here before her now and that tells as much to her as the strength that he carries in his mortal form.
His spirit and mentality is as strong as his physical being and reputation.
“I will take your company over any other, any day.” She concludes as she tilts her head slightly back to him before turning away again and continuing upon her trek into the darkness. There was none other than he that Stella could envision her line continuing onward with - she was growing older with each passing season and soon, she too would be incapable of producing formidable offspring such as those in generations before her. She will not let her legacy die.
