AISLINN

NAME: Aislinn

AGE:4 years

GENDER: Female

EYE COLOR: Dark amber with flecks of forest green.

APPEARANCE: Aislinn stands at 81cm at the shoulder with a weight of 45kg. While not large wolf, she has a narrow, wiry frame built for endurance and efficiency rather than raw power. Her long legs and slim body make her excellent for long hunts, where persistence is needed to wear down prey.

Her pelt is predominantly a mixture of cream and grey tones with reddish highlights; her undercoat an off-cream, while her topcoat is blond with heavy dustings and occasional patches of charcoal and black across her back and tail.

Aislinn’s face is very striking. Her lower face, muzzle and throat are an off-cream, the top of her muzzle dusted with mahogany fur. Her amber eyes are encircled by uneven oval markings formed by charcoal fur, and the fur on top of her head is pale grey dusted with black. Her ears are charcoal-coloured, the insides coloured cream with mahogany highlights.

PERSONALITY: Aislinn is a deeply compassionate individual but with a spine of steel. She’s resilient even in the face of rejection, steadfastly staying friendly. However, there is another side to her personality. She is prone to occasional dark outbursts where he whole demeanour changes, switching from kindly to ruthless, with a capacity for outstanding brutality. Furthermore, she has a tendency to asses even the most harmless of wolves as a threat unconsciously whether she is having an outburst or not. While she is uncertain exactly what causes her outburst, Aislinn suspects it has something to do with her forgotten past. Whatever the reason, they have lent a touch of caution to the way she interacts with others – the risk of having an outburst is not exactly appealing.

HISTORY: While Aislinn would like to know and share her history, she does not remember her past prior to a season ago. She hopes that she will, in the future, remember. Certainly, she’d like to know why she knows the most efficient ways to kill another wolf, or which plants cause almost instant death.

SAMPLE – (My character Triskelion from Blossom Forest)

A triumphant howl sounded through the air, waking Triskelion from his resting place at the base of a tree. Ears pricked, he raised his head, looking in the direction of the sound. Though he was too far away, he guessed it must have come from the centre of the territory.

He had thought the territory abandoned; what scent markers there had once been were old and faint, and the wind carried only the slightest scent of other wolves. It had confounded the cream pelted male that what so very obviously a fertile land was devoid of occupancy, when the surrounding lands practically swarmed with lupines of all ages. Had sickness caused this pack to die off, or had it merely declined with time in neglect?

Regardless, he’d decided to rest near the edge of the territory. It was beautiful there – in his explorations he’s found a small stream, crystal clear and cool, from which he’d quenched his thirst. But best of all had been how peaceful it was.

While the rest of the lands contained many beautiful locations, there were an overwhelming number of wolves no matter where he went. Young mated pairs, parents with pups, adventurous loners – the sheer quantity of wolves had overwhelmed him when he first discovered this place. And while it was lovely to see so many of his kind, he had found himself alone.

Through no fault of his own, his fellows tended to take one look at the prominent scars that marred the right side of face and labelled him ‘dangerous’. It made for a lonely existence, particularly given the fact that Kel couldn’t be more different in personality from his intimidating appearance. In the end, he’d learnt that it was normally easier to seek secluded locations rather than face the stares, hence his current location.

Still staring in the direction of the howl, he wondered whether he should leave. Clearly, this land was not to be unoccupied for long. And yet…Kel cocked his head thoughtfully. What if he answered the call and joined the pack? Maybe, just maybe, he’d find somewhere to call home. Making a rapid fire decision, he leapt to his feet and began to trot towards in the direction of the call. This might be a risk, but it is once he was willing to take.

As he moved through the trees, he scented the air. The breeze brought clearly the scent of a male and two females – so clear that he realised he must be downwind of them. He slowed, frame tense as the scents drew stronger. After what seemed like an age, he broke through the treeline into a flower filled meadow. It was stunning, but what caught his attention were the three lupines. Two – a male and a thin female, were talking. From the tension apparent in the female, he guessed the male was the new alpha. A small distance from them was another female, who had positioned herself submissively – clearly he was not the only one hoping to join this pack.

Hesitantly, he walked towards the other wolves before, having reached a distance several metres from the alpha, stopped. While he was unable to hear exactly what the male was saying, he knew better than to interrupt. Instead, he took up a submissive position, crouched low to the ground, tail tucked between his legs as the breeze ruffled his grey dusted fur. His ears were all but plastered to his head, and he averted his grey-green gaze. All in all, he wanted to look as non-threatening as possible – easier said than done for a wolf of his stature and appearance.

He would wait for the pair to finish their discussion, and for the other female to speak before introducing himself and his intentions. Then he would announce:

“My name is Triskelion. I would like to join this pack, should you agree to have me.”
