Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Oh such grace! Oh such beauty!
And lipstick, and callous
and fishnets and malice

Harridan could care less that this stranger was on the verge of a temper tantrum. Instead she took her portion of the rabbit and savored every little morsel. She was relaxed in his presence, there was no need for her to be fearful or timid. She would come to that when she got there. And not a moment sooner. She was not one that easily gave into the whims of others. It was partially the reason why she was content in living on her own and fending for herself. With the except of her children. And Abraxus. Her scarred lover was never too far from her but she did not worry about his wrath falling upon her. Enderly should be a little more cautious but then again, Harridan held no particular emotion for the grey eyed creature before her. He grumbles the correction on the color of his eyes and she looks up at him with a slight head tilt. "What?" It was almost as if she had barely paid any attention to him at all. It wasn't entirely true, she did pay attention to him, enough to watch how he gulped the rabbit down as if it wasn't the best taste on the face of the planet.

The barbarian.

Either way, the first question was predictable. But he was playing her little game and she would abide by the rules that she had set out for this particular encounter. What was in a name? Should she give a false one? She had never promised to tell the truth. However, lying was tricky. She would have to keep track of the lies. She would have to remember which was which. She would have to respond to name not her own. Harridan let the thought of lying to Enderly stew in her brain for a moment before deciding that it was decidedly too much work to keep track of such things. "Harridan. Of Moladion. I belong to no pack." But she belonged to Abraxus. She licked her lips, and then nosed through her half of the carcass carefully stripping any edible parts from the skeleton before she began on the bones themselves.

Question one was asked. Two remained. Harridan had decided to be truthful, but it did not mean that she would fond over him like a star crossed lover. He was adorable, and if she lived another life, perhaps was a little younger, she would probably be flirtatious and all sorts of naughty. Harridan, however, was settled in her life and had everything she could desire in this world. Abraxus was hers and he did not smother her like another might. She had two beautiful, darling daughters that were embarking on their second year of life. What more could a girl want? As she gnawed on a bone, her red amber eyes went to Enderly and waited for the second question.
