Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She would have been there sooner but... there were too many loose ends. Honestly, part of her detested the idea of Ava taking her rank too, knowing full well that the female was a little less moral than the others expected. She was a twisted thing, and it made her bristle to imagine her being able to control others beneath Isola. There were more ends than that, though, but soon they would tied up, that much she could be sure of. Once that was done, she would be free to be, well, free. She wouldn't have that moral expectation or any expectation now; she could do things she wanted to without fear of being reprimanded, and she could finally spend all the time in the world with Rogue. At the end of the day, that was her ultimate goal. Today, she wanted to be one step closer to it.

"Good - what would happen if I were caught all red-pawed here by myself? Oh, how tragic! I would be just oh so scared without my brace rescuer!"

She leaped back and feigned a fainting motion, flopping to her left before straightening up and batting at Rogue with her paw. She enjoyed these games, these little roundabouts they did for no other reason than to, well, have fun really. It was easy to forget her responsibilities when she was with Rogue, and easier to remember a time when life had been a little more fun. With another playful sigh, she eyed Rogue as if she were about to tell a secret, leaning in so that she might whisper it closer to her ears, rather than allow the wind to catch the words.

"Truth be told, though, I've been looking forward to one of us finding the other."

Of course, there fun had to come to an end eventually, for the time being at least. Things took a turn for the more... sadder topics, one that made Malina's ears inch back so slightly though her face still lit up with a grin at Rogue's rather protective outburst. It had been hard to imagine how Rogue's own imprint had been, and yet Sleekwing seemed different to what Heartless had been. For starters, he had never been... expectant, not in the slightest. If anything, it seemed they were relatively comfortable keeping their distance, preferring friendship over anything more. It seemed unlikely and yet, she had seemingly found a male who did not expect his soul's counterpart to be full of love for him. Perhaps Rogue had never experienced that, even in her past. There was no way Malina could hold that against her, and thus, she chose not to speak so openly on Sleekwing, knowing it made her beloved upset.

If she had been nervous at all about the mention of Sleekwing, then surely she should have been trembling at the thought of mentioning... a family of their own. It was a well known fact between the pair that both of them had done a rather poor effort in their last... well, they couldn't be called efforts for neither had truly been intentional. That was the thing, though - neither had been wanted, but what was wrong with wanting that now? She could see the thoughts ticking behind Rogue's eyes, rather bleak one's at that and she continued to shuffle and shift about awkwardly, her grin becoming a sheepish one full of one thought: oh, crap. Just as she expected, Rogue seemingly burst.

"Well, neither of really wanted any of those, right?"

She interjected, stepping forward slightly and tilting her head with an expectant look, knowing full well she was right. Both she and Rogue had made mistakes, but that didn't bar them for life. Hell, it wasn't their fault they had been taken advantage of! Or that they hadn't been ready then but what was stopping them now? Rogue had a good place in her pack, and Malina was sure she would quickly rise in Glorall herself - the parasites would have a good home, one without silly things like Angels and Demons and all that. Maybe Glorall even had a babysitter!

"I was just thinking - we weren't ready, but isn't that what mates do when they want to truly be as one? They raise others to be even greater than they. We've got a real chance here to actually make some worthwhile members of society, right? We know how this world is."

She continued to watch Rogue expectantly, though her features could not help but soften, her tail waving slowly behind her. Maybe she had been too hopeful... maybe she had been foolish, even but she couldn't help but try. She just had such grand ideas of them raising children that were actually worth something in the world, and who weren't tied down by silly social norms and all that rubbish. Instead, they'd be educated, so damn educated and it'd show. Why was it that those that would do the best job at raising children never wanted them? She almost verbally expressed that though but bit back when she remembered: it was simple. Their first chance had been taken by them already by Heartless and Covet, and that had set the theme from then on. They had stolen that opportunity from them.

"Besides... I'd hate to let those bastards win. They took that chance from us, when I wanted that chance for us."

There was an anger in her voice now, a slow building thing made her brows furrow as she looked down at her paws, her ears folding back. Stupid men. They truly had been the pain, not so much the parasites that came from them.
