| Another winter indeed; Orion had to admit he was grateful that he wouldn't be spending this winter alone. Winters alone, especially in unfamiliar lands, were not an ideal situation. He could remember the cold and lonely nights spent looking up at the stars, his breath turning to crystals in the air. Now he had a pack to live within for the winter, he would have no need for those types of nights, and though he still felt himself second-guessing his decision to join Diveen the benefits were very obvious at this time of the year. He continued through the snow at a slower pace, clearly not in a rush to get where he was going. It was a nice day out and he figured he would enjoy the walk home. He glanced up at the blue sky, the sun sending down it's beams of light to reflect off of the fresh white snow. Some wolves find it hard to do just that- appreciate the days as they are given. Orion had to admit he didn't "stop and smell the roses" quite as much as he should, all things considered.
The black wolf paused to shake the snow off his fur once more, sneezing as a flake landed on his nose. His yellow eyes narrowed slightly as he heard the tell-tale sound of something scampering towards him in the snow. His ears pricked forward as he heard the yip and turned towards the sound to see a black and gold wolf tumbling towards him. She looked quite young, probably around a year old, and from her scent he could tell that she was from Diveen as well. He can hardly conceal his amusement at her less than graceful halt, but he manages to control his laughter as she straightens up, greeting him with a very peculiar word he doesn't think he has ever heard.
Orion's tail gives a friendly wag and he tilts his head slightly as she seems to be embarrassed by her choice of words, though he doesn't care, she is young after all. "Hello to you, too." he says in friendly tones, an amused smile forming on his face. He had never really dealt much with young wolves such as this one, but he supposed that there was a first time for everything. It wasn't like he would count out a chunk of the populous because they were younger than him- that seemed rather counter-intuitive.
He nods as she introduced herself, wagging his tail a few more times as he replied with his own name. "It's nice to meet someone else from Diveen. My name is Orion."
