Re(2): FISH KILL

Fishing's been pretty good last 2 days of the white bass kill.Catching 25+ fish every trip-mostly dinks. I lost a ton of fish last 2 days.Got some hot new cranks and gotta swap out the inferior trebles for some real trebles.

99% of the kill is white bass and I saw several FO's.

Their population has exploded since the last whitebass kill years ago.Probably due to their spawn or could be the same reason they died off the last time which would be pesticide runoff in the river during their spawn?

With the low white bass population in the past,we really never saw many dead ones after their annual spawn.I'm surprised it didn't look like this when the ice finally melted with that brutal winter that we had.

Don't be worried. Eyes are hitting.Channelcats are in a feeding frenzy.Probably a 10:1 dink to keeper ratio but this is normal for this time of year. The size will increase and the dink % and trash fish rate will drop as we roll from mid june-mid july.

Looks like the weeds aren't going to be much of a nuisance this season!!
