Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

She does not understand what it is about him, not at all, that draws her so close. It seems that each step she even attempts to take away from him leads her back. She manages, though, with slow, nervous steps but no sooner does she feel another close to her; warmth, comfort, a sudden peace that radiates from where his fur mingles with her own. A gasp is brought from her mouth as she swings frantically around to meet the wild pink of his eyes with the startling yellow of her own; they moment they connected, she cannot help but come to a complete stop, her mouth agape with a lack of words. He has come for her but so close, she does not know what to say, or how to say such things. To tell another that they were supposed to be here, for she had been called to them seemed so... absurd, but so right all the same.

As if becoming her voice, he utters words that flow so alike to her own thoughts. A smile curls her lips, a sad smile filled with some three years of waiting for such comforting words. She breathes in his scents and nods slowly, her ears flattening back nervously.

"You feel it too? This strangeness. It is within my very core."

She watches his eyes as if they will speak to her the truth, the way the light reflecting from them reminding her of the very constellations that have lead her here. It makes perfect sense then, and the sadness is fast drained from her features and replaced with relief. Her tail is even inclined to wave slowly, her head slowly tilting in captivation. Like herself, he barely seems to fit in to the rest of the world: even here, she can sense an awkwardness that sets him apart from the crowd surrounding them. She likes it, she thinks, finding comfort in another's differences. It cannot be helped - she hopes he, too, will find her own oddities endearing in their own way. For now, though, her nerves press her to remain standing with a small pride, a normality feigned as her mind wanders. It is seen in her face as she lifts her muzzle slightly to the sky, her eyes closing for a moment as she inhales once more, trying to remember back to her previous night. It is then that she breathes a sigh of defeat, meeting his eyes levelly once more.

"They called me here for you, but they did not give me your name."
