Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She was excited! With the melting of the snow came the disappearance of her childhood, too. Finally, she was an adult! Still, she didn't really feel different but nonetheless, they had made a big deal over it. It also meant she had to really begin to work towards her ambitions, and such large ambitions they were. Her parents had left large paw prints for her to fill and she had spent many nights already trying to figure out what she could do to fast track her progress. Really, there was little that she could do other than try her hardest and convince Sinclair to give her some secret lessons but alas, he was still in Diveen with his training. She had contemplated going to see him but.. it seemed silly to interrupt him like that. Instead, she refrained and waited for her father's arrival.

It didn't take him long, for he was quite punctual - something she had to learn. Excitedly, she bounded from her den with a flurry of sand and a waving tail, flashing him a broad smile as dashed to his side. They didn't need to exchange words, something she was fast learning to adjust to. According to him, it was not always needed to speak when both parties understood they were doing business - small talk was just to fill the void. Today, they were preparing for lessons and thus, it wasn't needed. She felt awkward simply jogging along side him as they began towards the unusual call, but she figured it might have been part of the training. Was he teaching her the correct way to jog... or something? Whatever, she figured she might as well just observe and see where this was going.

As they came to the borders, she was met with an unfamiliar face. The girl was undeniably beautiful, and yet she had a sort of wildness about her that threw Cersei off stride for a moment. She'd never seen somebody with such a look in their eyes but it was endearing in some strange way! It was if the girl was beyond her years. Admirable and enviable, really. Nonetheless, she remained as pleasant as she could be as she came to a halt beside her father; he spoke, words quite sobering as Cersei followed his movements, bowing her head with a slight wave of her tail. Apologetic, really, though she could not quite understand the weight of the situation. Instead, she chose to spoke proceeding her father, hinting at a slight grin as she cocked her head.

"I've heard all about you and your family! Is it true that the mountain has been in your family for several generations?"
