Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Emotion was stolen from that night in my youth when a creature of the night ransacked my whole pack and killed every living being in it. I hid and maybe that's the only reason I survived. Or maybe I was spared for another reason. Even so, I was young and innocent once but it didn't last long. The day I went out and found Godric was the start of my life and the end of my emotion...or so I'd thought. I was taught never to grow attached but I never needed it because I had Godric. He was everything to me, everything I could ever need and more. When he left me, I thought I was lost and would never be found but he'd taught me strength. He taught me how to survive, how to survive on my own. Over time I found my inner strength and learned all over again how to be alone.

I know this feeling since I've felt it once before but I never got the chance to actually delve into it, to confront the wolf and find out more. Chickadee went missing before I could find her again. Ailith however, seems just as eager to find me as I was to find her, no matter how I fought it. She looks gorgeous, a white beauty with no trace of the blood that stained her coat at the gathering. I'm a bit disappointed since I do like the smell of blood. It's like an expensive perfume that only costs a life. I still remember how it used to smell on Seline. Rose was never one to get messy but she always smelled like heaven. Ailith however, her scent is just....well, intoxicating, for lack of a better word. I can't get enough of it and I want to be surrounded by it.

We stop and stare at each other as if unsure of what to do. Neither of us wants to go or inch closer and yet I fight the urge because I really do want to be closer to her. We've never met and it's like we're old friends. I feel protective over her, like I could never see a hair on her head touched in a harmful way. I don't want her touched at all really. It's almost overwhelming, this sense of possessiveness that overcomes me. She seems relieved when I say my name as if she was expecting something else. When she smiles, the night seems somehow brighter. She says a name, Ailith and that someone's happy to meet me. I tilt my head, puzzled. She's talking about herself, right? Why does she talk so...oddly?

She has an accent, bowing her head in greeting. When she steps closer, I tense, but in anticipation, not warning. Clearing my throat as I try not to think about how her perfume only grows stronger with her inching step, I reply with a tone smooth as honey.

"The pleasure's all mine."

Offering a smile, I decide to find out more about her.

"You are in a pack. Do you like it there?"
