dig up her bones but leave her soul alone;
Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

She had tried.. and tried and tried and tried. But she could no longer remain away from Moladion for any period of time. Her mother’s body was buried here beneath the roots of the trees that had sprung to new life after the sky fell and with her buried bones lay Verity’s own heart, barely beating amidst the destruction that shook her past. She had only been a young pup when the terror had gripped her hard and to watch her mother die before her very eyes had been a traumatizing, life-changing event. The Verity that was once to be so very long ago was nothing but a forgotten memory in her mind and in its place came sadness, a solemn state that overtook her very soul and shielded her from becoming mortally wounded by cruel fate once more. No matter the pain and anguish that this site brings her, she cannot fathom leaving her mother to rest eternally forgotten beneath this new Moladion.

And so she returns.

The silver-tipped girl is sitting in solitude in a place that she imagines to be the burial site of Prae, but she cannot ever know. The sights that she had witnessed upon awakening beneath her mother’s lifeless corpse, the smell of burning flesh and fur, the billows of black smoke that rose so high into the sky that she did not know whether it was still day or if night had taken reign. It all looked so foreign to her then and now.. life had claimed the forest again and the protective thicket that she had been born into was no longer standing where it should have been. She will seek something similar for her own needs; the desire to pick up her life where it had been left off was engrained deeply into her being now and the first step was to reclaim a den much like her birthplace.

With a final moment of silence as she stares deeply into the earth passed by, she stands to her paws and slowly begins to turn away in search of her new solace. She is unsure of where to look or if there is even such a place that is capable of existing any longer but she will wander for the rest of her days if that is what it will take to find her haven. It is only when she quietly steps through a rather thick veiling of brush and limb that she finds the still figure of another amid the sunlit clearing. Her form freezes and she pauses in step to watch him a moment with venomous chartreuse and roseate eyes; he is starting into the sky and for what reason is unknown to her, though perhaps he is pondering the meteor shower just as she often does.

His pelage is rich in colorful hues of black, gold, and white and he is thickly built as a male should be. If she were to speak any truths then she would be shy to admit that he was rather handsome as she peered onward at him from this angle, though she can only catch glimpses of his eyes from her position at his hind right side. She ponders a moment on whether she should intrude but dismisses any doubt in her mind as she begins to speak to him in a soft timbre. “What are you looking for?” Her voice is quiet and her demeanor rather sociable in comparison to her more characteristic attitude of being quite introverted. Yet there is something about him that is intriguing, for who just looks into the sky and simply wonders?

Maybe she has finally found someone in which she can relate to.
