The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Time was what she needed, time to slip away and find who she was, and where she belonged in the world. True, she was a bit overly insightful, always looking on the bright side as if nothing could ever go wrong for her, chasing dreams and wishing for the best. Beda had no idea that anything would ever harm her, and that everything was great- she thought she lived in a perfect world. Beda was about to find out how perfect life was. The lighting was dim in the area she had chosen to rest, tree tops blocking the rays of sun and shading her from the blistering heat of the summer. Birds sang and rodents thrived, plentiful berry bushes and prey items for her to snack on. Beda woke up to the singing of whipperwhills every morning, their song carrying sweetly to her domes, through the crisp breeze that blew by day and dancing around the trees.

The femme's domes twitched softly as they did when she heard their song, her eyes fluttered innocently as she became fully awake with the day, stretching her lengthy limbs and shaking out her fur. Beda's teal eyes glimmered with the single beam of sun passing through the trees as the wind swept away the branches, the light soon disappearing as she yawned and trotted away. Her legs carried her fluently through the patches of forestry, over the obstacles and around the bodies of water.

Beda wore a bright smile, her banner swaying in a friendly manner behind her as she trotted, all the way to a small stream that-unknown to her- was Abendrot pack borders. Stepping into and through the stream, she crossed into the territory, suddenly catching the smell of the pack and her smile faded. Her tail stopped wagging. Beda waited for them to smell her, for she was upwind of them, her aroma would shortly be carried to any one of the members. Whimpering softly with slight concern, she cowered and crouched low to the ground, body submissive as she waited for them to arrive.
