Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I am deep in thought when I notice something rush past me. A tawny colored pup. It was small anyway and after a moment's notice, I see her. She is indeed a puppy. There's a smile on my lips as I watch her rush toward the water but I pick up a lope to gather the distance between us and to shorten it. My ears are twitching and swiveling toward her as my tail wags furiously behind me. I remembered what it was like to be young; to want to have all the fun in the world away from my parent's watchful eyes. Well, mother's watchful eyes anyway. I'd never met my father yet. I cannot say as to who he is but by what mother's told us. That's okay though; maybe someday right?

I watched her tumbling a little before finding her footing as I slowed. I watched her rush into the tide and watched as the water rolled along her paws. It slammed into her chest and knocked her flying with a yelp. I chuckled a little and moved to brush my nose along her shoulders. "Hey there. Are you alright?" There's a concerned look in my eyes for this little pup and I hoped that she hadn't hurt herself. She gets up with a giggling and I grin. "I'm Arancione but you can call me Aran if you like. What's your name?" I was curious now and smiling. My expression is warm as I'm only a year and there's still plenty of enjoyment and play within me. I'm wondering about my new home here and I can't wait to get to know everyone around me that I can.
