Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Return to Lunar Children

He had to admit - he was avoiding the children for the most part. He'd already done in part in raising six of his own, and he remembered their sharp, obnoxious teeth all too much to go seeking them. Besides, they were still so very young, and the first few formative months were of utmost importance: the other parents would need to learn that in their own way and time. Soon, he would visit each one and begin to teach them the ways of the pack. They would need to learn pecking order and respect, two things even parents could not entirely teach themselves. The pecking order of family and hierarchy were two unique things, after all. And so, his avoidance had been doing swimmingly. He had ensured to pass by from time to time, at least discovering the quantity and gender of the children but it seemed they needed no help as far as food was concerned. Soon, Rogue would have children too. More to avoid - fantastic.

He had, however, not been avoiding the others of the pack. Often, he spent much time simply basking in the sun with an unspoken invitation to any other. There had been little cause for concern in the world and today, he relished in such a fact once more. He stood quietly on the shores, flexing his tongues into the gritty sand with a content grin. The gulls had begun to lay and hatch their eggs, offering a rather splendid buffet if one could be bothered dealing with their incessant cackling. He pondered whether or not it'd be a good time to fetch the eggs, taking them to Mistletoe and Warlow perhaps before taking them to his own mate. Though Caligula had not had more children, it did not excuse him from treating her just as well - she was, after all, not just the Queen of Glorall but of him too.

Then, the sound of paws splashing against water and sand. His ears flickered towards the company, fast followed by his eyes and a welcoming grin. Speak of the devil - Warlow, a new face but certainly not an unwelcome one. His dedication to his mate had been rather impressive, and Tesseract had found himself wondering what else of the male would be - he had high hopes for each and every wolf of Glorall. The other spoke and Tesseract's face lit up further, almost proud looking as he dipped his head in understanding.

"Congratulations, Warlow. To be a father is an entirely unique adventure in itself."

That was true, endlessly so. They brought all kinds of new joys but for each joy, a new concern that would constantly keep you on your toes. Of course, life in a pack made things so much easier but a father could not help but worry. It was difficult to not become overwhelming, but so far, he had done a good job at such a thing. In time, Warlow would learn such a thing too. Whatever the case, it seemed he was adamant about beginning another adventure.

"No need for thanks, friend. A pack is nothing without those within it."

He paused for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly as he appraised the male once more. Undoubtedly, he had the build for a warrior and yet... something seemed different about him. He had a quiet intelligence, that much Tesseract had gathered: an intelligence seldom found in those with only blood on their mind.

"Tell me, Warlow. What is it you bring with you here? I see strength, but what more?"
