Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

For a newborn, he wasn’t quite attached this his mother’s hip. No. Little Léon trotted about the Lagoon while his mother did things with the grasses. Was she out of sight? No. Was she out of mind? Not completely. But the red roan was not glued to his mother’s side. He would poke at things in the grass. When these things responded he would either rear and gallop about half-way back to his mother, or would complete it to hide behind her for a few minutes. Then once he discovered the things would not chase him, he returned to his exploring.

Today, he was poking about the edge of a pool. He could look into the water. In fact, at the moment, he was half in the shallow pool and half on the bank, his little tail buzzing wildly. He wasn’t exactly stuck, but he didn’t want to completely enter the pond to get out. The cold water didn’t really suit his fancy.

And it tasted gross! Why did his mother insist on drinking it. He snorted and looked about. She wasn’t too far off. Maybe she could help him. Or should he just try to figure out how to get out of the pond on his own. A nearby rodent seemed to be laughing at him. Léon snorted and went back to contemplating his situation.
