Vesti
Vesti was glad that Orhan came out of it. She had been a little worried. She sighed even though he seemed groggy. Being awoken from a deep dream can do that to a person. In fact, Vesti would rather not have done so. But he had been speaking in his sleep. It was worrisome to her.
“Nothing,” Vesti said quickly. “I was actually going to ask you the same thing. You were speaking in your sleep.” The voice cackled. Not too long ago, Vesti had made a similar excuse to the stallion. Yet, she had been wide awake.
You are going to have to do better than that. It cooed. It was getting spiteful, or perhaps it knew it’s power wained over her as she gained interaction. Vesti’s self control was impeccable and she simply ignored it.
“Are you ok?” She knew that physically, the stallion was perfectly healthy. She could see it in his muscle tone. She asked more about his state of mind. Strangely enough, she knew quite about about such things. Her wet tail slapped against her as it moved. Her eyes and voice were honest. The firs time she had caught Grai doing it, she had been worried. Kel had done it as well. Perhaps it was just a natural part of normal psyche. Vesti didn’t know.
And the rain continued to pelt the two. Lightning and thunder flickered in the distant expanse above them.
