Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Isolation. One word to describe it all. Saw Tooth was a coffin and the memories held there, my chains. My children and my snowy mate all but disappeared. Melted like the winter snow and I was the shadow caught in depression. Weight had slid off my old bones and I'd been sulking in our den. Well, what was left of our den. If I had stayed longer, tree roots and vegetation would've taken me. But, for some reason, for some unknown reason I felt the need to get up. My bedraggled ashen form trudging to life.

Slowly my paws stepped past the borders and my muscles screamed in protest. The moons light reflecting off my lasting lone yellow eye. A few sharp breaths told me my lungs disliked my sudden activity, but I was set on walking. Not caring where was walking. Just go, my legs said. So when I made it to the half burnt meadow I gave a laugh. Really now? I questioned myself pessimisticly.

Laying down in the flowers I let out a long sigh. My bones ached and the grey on my muzzle seemed to have increased. I just laid there not moving. Until, my ears flicked to a familiar shout. Lifting my head my singular orb caught sight of a pale figure. My eye widened, but I didn't move. In truth I couldn't. Could've been due to me being tired, but I think it was utter shock.

I have to be going insane. Instantly this thought occurred, but she seemed real. A grunt broke through my lips as I lifted my frame up. Hesitantly I walked over to Willow, the pups weren't around, but she was here. Her voice called my name. Anger wasn't even in my veins, if anything it was desperation to reach her. To confirm she was really here. As I got closer I felt energy go to my paws and I nudged into her side. Willow... My voice cracked from lack of use. She was truly here and I wrapped my neck around her in an embrace. Taking in her scent and again calling her name.

Pulling back from her I began caressing her face. Fighting the need to sit down as my legs shook. Please don't fall, I pleaded to myself. I had to sit down though, holding myself up was harder than I thought, but I didn't stop having my head nuzzled in her fur.
