Giving him the cold shoulder allowed Lyden to quickly figure out that his lead was annoyed with him which only made the situation at hand even worse. She probably felt pissed thinking he doubted her ability to lead or even have compassion but with the lack of wanting to ease the tension made Lyden angry. His eyes narrowed staring her down when Cae said she wanted to go to the herd instead and Gandy shot back with that she didn’t care what the pearlino wanted.

Snorting as agitation engulfed him Lyden laid his pinners back against his pale crown snapping his tendrils across his feathered hawks. Caeisius was also coming up as being uncomfortable or confrontational with Gandy which confused Lyden for back in the falls all he saw was the sweetness to her and when he tried to comfort her she thanked him almost cooly and then changed the subject. It seemed that for whatever reason his lead was more moody then she had been while being pregnant and with everything that was going on around him Lyden didn’t want to deal with it.

”gandy is right my sweet cae, your wounds should be cleaned before you are introduced to the herd only because many of the girls will want to help and I don’t want you feeling over crowded” moving to rub his nose on her pale cheek Lyden was trying to silently apologize. ”I’m glad you’re here and when you’re done please come find me” his words are barely above a whisper meant for her ears only.

With a sigh Lyden moved away from who he thought was his soul mate or at least one of his soul mates and shifted to stand in front of his lead mare. ”you and I have a lot to discuss and we’ll start with your attitude towards new comers and now me. I don’t know what’s going on with you but I won’t put up with you acting as though you call the shots gandy, we’re a team, never forget that” his words were low meant only for gandy and his tone was icy and flat. Without any warning Lyden moved quickly away from the pair and disappeared into the forest. His anger was consuming him and before he did something stupid he decided to take himself away from the hostile situation. At this moment all Lyden knew was if Gandy didn’t back down or open up to him so he could understand why she acts the way she is, he’d be forced to reconsider his decision about making her his lead and that – made him sick to his stomach.
