IT'S OKAY FOR YOU TO HATE ME

For the first time in a while Lyden felt excited as he moved without stretched limbs sweeping over the meadow that bordered the prairie. Being in his distant mood allowed him to travel more of the forest making him realize that by only having the forest and prairie on the luthien allowed the forest to expand double in size taking over the other lands that use to be around but are now deserted. The realization made Lyden smile for the first time since everything went down in his life and he wanted to run back to the herd where they normally gathered and push them deeper into the forest. He wanted to show them the massive space that was corralled by trees with a river turning behind it allowing it to feel like they were in the prairie but still at home.

Having the forest be as huge as it is made him feel confident that as his family grew tighter, bigger and stronger that they wouldn’t ever go hungry in the fall and winter months. The canopy of the trees would provide enough warmth for vegetation and the river running made sure that even when the lake froze over his herd would still have water. His new findings made him remember growing up in the prairie with his father and his herd making the forest feel a little bit more like home. His thought’s as he cantered effortlessly into the forest and slipped onto a trail drifted to fantazer the quite gentle mare who had disappeared for quite some time traveling the forest. He wondered if she had come across the things he just did and his heart clenched. He missed her and the guilt of trading her off was literally starting to eat at him from the inside out

Luckily though as if by magic Azazel appeared ahead of him soothing his nerves making him throw his head around calling to her. Finding her is a good set, for he planned on finding the others and pushing them forward so they could come check out more of their home. Although with all his excited Lyden didn’t catch glimpse of the strange new mare right away until he was nearly to them. Slamming his haunches into the ground to allow himself to brake Lyden snorted quite loudly. His breathing was slightly heavy and quick as his chest pounded. Sky blues looked between Azazel and the unknown girl ”Hello, I’m Lyden leader of the forest” looking at Azazel with a questioning gaze Lyden paused in case she would step in and introduce but Lyden looked back at the girl ”were you invited by someone?”
