Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

With an growl, I steadied myself for what seemed the millionth time on my way to the crisper-smelling air. The heat had my darker coat plastered to my body, sweat causing my already poor vision to worsen. The faint outline of the mountain ahead and the blob of white gave way that I was nearing the mountain.

Although I planned to stay relatively close to the base of the mountain, I yearned for the cold feeling I was accustomed to. I stumbled once more, but instead on snow. Unable to catch myself, I flopped face first into the fluffy bank. My sigh was muffled as I sat there for a moment, closing my eyes. The familiar cold seeped into my pelt as a ghost of a smile played on my maw. Finally, a place I was familiar with.
