Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

She inched closer, cautiously of course but seemingly desperate to have closeness with this poor, sad soul. She felt drawn to him in some way, her maternal instincts a ceaseless creature in her very core. The mere sight of somebody so lost pulled at her heartstrings in such a way that she swore it almost ached to imagine them in such a position any longer. She had to help him, there was no doubt about it, even if he could not speak nor stand. Even if these were his last moments, she had to be sure they were safe, secure moments at that.

He rose then, barely, but enough to hint at life as his voice rolled out, a weak sound that made her ears flicker forward in desperation to hear the words. As he flopped back down, she took it upon herself to move forward to him, standing above him somewhat as she leaned in, allowing him to listen without effort. So, she had been right in her assumptions: his family was gone and he was truly alone, lost, hungry. It made sense the moment one got a close up look of him.

"I'm Niviaq, little one. I'm going to lay down with you now, okay? I will keep you warm until you are feeling a little better - how does that sound?"

She waited a moment for a response, even if it were merely a flicker of an ear before she smiled down on him warmly. Slowly, and ever so gently, she lowered her body beside him, curling up somewhat and pulling gently towards her. If she was able to, she would place him by her stomach, curling around him somewhat as her thick tail lay across his back, forming a warm pocket for him to rest within. She pondered for some time, unsure as to how to proceed. He was much different to when she had found Legion, who had still been in relatively good health. This boy though... he needed to truly be healed.

"Would you... like me to get you something to eat, little one? Are you warm now?"

She could find something small nearby, surely, even a rat or a mouse. Something, anything, to begin his long journey to recovery.
