Flickershads in the 5 and 6 size. 5= 2" and 6=2.4". I couldn't believe until someone told me about them.Don't go by their 9'-11' depth rating because I'm having trouble reaching 7' with 75' of line released.
My bombers and bandits wouldn't catch squat this season til I slapped one on.5 mins later it was fish on.Flickershads ever since but I still run the B02 firecraw during dryspells with 0 success.
Their trebles suck.Either swap them out for real trebles or get a very small box wrench and pry them straight out like a conventional round treble.I lost a ton of fish the 1st couple days I pulled them because of them..I went from losing 75% of the fish to 10% now.
Snag resistance as well. They hang up,but they free up 90% of the time with a thumbing of the swpool.30# spiderwire helps.13 straight trips without a lost crank. Broke quite a few hooks and straightened out a ton of hooks but 0 lost cranks.Makes them good candidates for my planerboards.Hooks bend easy but still handled a 31" flattie and 4 fish O eyes. Walmart in B-town has some.Lakeside basspro has a few.$3.99 at cabelas. There is a rebate on them as well-ends late this month.
Chrome Clown,purple tiger,and blue tiger.
These are working ok so far,but like last 2 years, the eyes will probably switch up here in a couple weeks and I'll have to change tactics. Replies:
