The whole situation leaves Xina feeling that much more frustrated than before. Dia had no right to offer an apology if that was what it could be considered for the roan woman’s actions. If Xina had been interested in the feelings of this other mare then she would have taken a different approach. Perhaps Syliva did feel offended but that was her own problem and none to Xina’s concern since she was not part of the herd. Maybe that is what Dia had forgotten in her moment of recognition from her visit to the Ridge; not that she should have gone anyways since it was outside of the herd’s territory.

Despite all of the hassle of this confrontation Xina is rewarded with an answer from the uncomfortable mare. The pressing of her ears had not gone unnoticed but still she managed to look into the eyes of Xina’s two toned hard gaze. The roan mare’s expression remains stern and for a moment she contemplates the words of this outsider. In truth there was nothing in the perlino’s gaze that lead Xina to mistrust what she said but still the nagging feeling of some vengeful stallion would not release its grasp upon the older woman.

Perhaps it was other pressing matters that left her so paranoid.

“Do not think me so harsh to chase out a mare that is pregnant and needing a place to stay.” Xina said before her eyes narrowed dangerously. “But if you bring trouble to this family from the child’s father then I will hold you fully responsible and will not hesitate to find you; not matter what Sahin has said.” It was not a threat, it was a sincere promise.

With that being said it seemed Xina was willing to let the whole situation go. She had stated her peace so that there was no mistaking where Sylvia stood with her and now perhaps they could move forward. Finally allowing her gaze to leave the pale woman’s face, she glanced across the barren sands of the beach. Xina did not see Sahin’s golden skin anywhere which made her wonder if he was off with Mera or Conquistador somewhere. With a snort at the thought of her two children she gave a swish of her tail and glanced back over to Sylvia. “I suppose if you’re going to stay we should find the rest of the herd so that they know you are here.” Mera would enjoy the new company.
