A pirate flag and
The Lost Islands

A pirate flag and an island girl

And I traded it in for a whole 'nother world
A pirate flag and an island girl

Breath in a deep breath, let the salty air wash over her senses. Close cerulean eyes, let everything else fade away. She is content in this moment, she lets the waves crash around her. She only was alone a few minutes when a familiar scent floated on the breeze, alerting her that Lyden was near. Excitement quivers within her chest, she had hardly a moment to speak with him, since her arrival in the Forest. So much had happened, so much that she wished she could take back. With a sigh, she continues to gaze out across the ocean, hoping deep down that Lyden would appear at her side magically. She knew that he had many duties that needed to be taken care of, her needs came behind the herds, which she was fine with. But, just as her hope was waining, he appeared at her side, burying his muzzle into her alabaster tresses. Relief floods her, he had noticed her loneliness.

As his voice fills the void, her smile becomes uncontrollable. "I am happy to finally be here with you as well. You sure know the way to a lady's heart." As she finishes her words, she snuggles up closer to him, knowing that he was hers, well mostly. His scent floods her nostrils, bringing comfort to her soul, chasing away any troubles that were welling up inside of her. As the ocean crashed around them, she felt whole for a moment as he stood by her side.

His words surround her, wrapping her in warmth, he wanted her to be here as much as she had craved to be next to him. With each passing day she knew that their feelings would grow, a future spread out before them. As he spoke of caring for her so much that he would do anything for her, her heart thudded in her ears. "I would do anything for you as well...You are my family now. Maybe eventually I will be accepted by everyone else in your herd as you do." Swiveling her muzzle around towards his chest, she bumps his muscled chest. "A bond. One that can never separate us, no matter the distance. Right?"

As her last words are spoke, they stand quietly just enjoying just the sound of the waves crashing against the beach. As the sun touches the horizon, its brilliant light slowly fading. Enveloping them in the long evening shadows, and soon Cae's stars would appear. She had always claimed them as her favorites, she would stand marveling at their beauty, until her eyes would grow heavy with sleep."Soon it will be dark. It is my favorite part of the day, especially when the stars appear. Their beauty is like the bond that we share. Beautiful..." She hoped that she wasn't being to sappy, sometimes her dreams flowed from her mouth, embarrassing her.
