So it was done. Iblis felt the last of his adrenaline fade and he almost all but collapsed against the alpha as he offered his shoulder. Together the two males, both of dramatically different sizes, moved towards the ocean. The waves crashed more harshly now that the moon had vanished and the sun was starting to rise. The water pushed up past Iblis' chest as it tickled his neck leaving only his head exposed. The salt entered his wounds and bit hard on any chance of infections. Iblis hissed in pain but he was so tired that he hardly even flinched as he body was instantly soaked in a flash moment of agony. It felt like hours had gone by and eventually Tesseract had deemed the warrior clean enough to enter his lands. Still leaning against the large wolf, Iblis followed without saying a word. His vision was blurred as the pain began to ebb away and each step threatened to be his last as exhaustion overcame him.

Once, as they made their way up a steep dune, Iblis felt his paws give out from under him and he waited for the shock and pain of the fall to ripple all over, but it never came. Tesseract had snatched him into his jaws and was able to keep the loner steady. Odd, why didn't Iblis feel his teeth? Bowing his head in thanks he continued to move in silence, knowing that talking would take much of his strength. In these quiet moments, he allowed his mind to wander. What were his children doing? Were they safe? Rhae. His world. Where was she? Why had he been left alone again? No matter what happened, Iblis would always be a lone wolf. He was too tired to even cry about this thought.

At last, they had reached their final destination. A small den would do perfectly for a small wolf. Iblis couldn't even remember the last time he had slept in the safety of a den. He nodded his thanks again and crawled inside, allowing his head to poke out the front for just a moment to soak up the morning sun. He had hoped to get a moments rest but Tesseract wanted answers then and who would he be if he did not give his host what he wanted. "I do not know their names but we can call them monsters. There is no other word for such a beast. They eat the flesh of other wolves. I fought and killed two of them tonight. Their bodies were left to rot or to be eaten by their own kind."

"May I ask you something? Why did you allow me to come here? I owe you a debt now. What do you intend to do with me while I reside here?" Iblis knew he was at the mercy of Tesseract and he wanted to know what he plan for the loner was. He shifted his weight and couldn't hold back the painful yelp that escaped his lips. Perhaps it was pride that stopped him from asking for a healer or maybe he was foolish. Either way, Iblis said nothing more as he waited for the alpha of Glorall to decide his fate.
