PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

YOU LEFT ME IN THE DARK

IMPAZIENZA

Her eye moved back to Mouse’s face as the grullo mare stepped forward. The word “home” hit Impa particularly hard, and as their shoulders brushed she reached out to nuzzle her friend’s neck, pressing her nose to the grayish fur under her mane and taking comfort from the heat and scent of her friend. The mountain itself was home to Impa, yes, but with Mouse back it felt more real to her than it had in a long time. The right company in the right setting made all the difference in the world.

Impa pulled her head away and flicked an ear toward her friend. “I’d like that. I haven’t been myself lately, and I’m beginning to see how unappealing it is.” And immature. And completely unbecoming of the Prime Minister— of all the mares on the Peak, Impa always felt that it was the Prime Minister who should be the most level-headed, and here she was letting her anger and impatience dictate her conversations. Impa knew she was better than that.

The black mare shook out her mane, feeling better than she had a moment ago. The apology had not been so hard to say once it was actually rolling off her tongue, and Mouse seemed to have forgiven her readily. Things almost felt normal once again. “If you’re willing to share, I’d love to hear what you found out about yourself while you were away,” Impa said. It would take time before she felt comfortable enough around Mouse again to speak to the grullo as if she was not trying to walk across a slew of eggshells— not that Impa was afraid of Mouse’s reaction. It was more that the blanketed mare did not want to test the strength of their friendship again in so little time.
