The smoky brute was wandering lazily through the territory. Once again he was on his own. The pack he had joined so long ago had not become the active pack that some of the others in the area were like, but he was okay with that. He did not need to be overwhelmed with lots of wolves bustling around, it reminded him too much of his old pack, where he had come from. Whenever he had days or weeks at a time that he was alone his thoughts always drifted back to his family that he had been forced to leave behind. The brute missed his brothers and sisters terribly, and thoughts of what could have happened to his youngest brother when they had been separated haunted him constantly. He just wished he could have done more to keep his younger brother safe and by his side. The smoky gray brute sighed heavily, not noticing where he was walking in the forest, just brushing past trees and letting his mind wander.
As Summer neared the edge of Bright Moon’s borders a sharp scent reached his nares, blood. He immediately raced in the direction of the scent, hoping that one of his packmates was not injured. It only took him a few moments to find the one who the spilled blood belonged to. A white female was sitting at the borders, blood on her kissers and face, tail wrapped daintily around her paws. Summer paused for a moment, wondering why a stranger with blood smeared on them would be at this land. He instantly became suspicious and the fur on his neck began to bristle a quiet growl begin in his throat before he pushed it down and remained silent. His yellow orbs stared at the female, approaching her cautiously, ”What is your business here? And why have you come here with blood staining your pelt?” He made sure not to let his guard down even for a moment around this stranger.
Summer was now at the border, about half a foot away from the female, his posture hostile. As he stared at the stranger he noticed the form of a dead animal behind her. He did not want to take his eyes off of her to try and decipher what it was, but from what he glanced it looked too small to be a wolf, and adult wolf anyways. Another growl formed in his throat as he saw the body, wondering why she had felt the need to kill another animal if not for food. He did not like others that enjoyed killing for the pleasure of it, and he hoped that Darcia would not want a lupine like that in his pack. Summer stood, waiting to hear what this female would tell him, whether she would try and come up with some lie or just tell him the truth.
