Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I won't betray my Heart

A dark coated creature approaches me from the shadows. My brilliant eyes watching curious and my nostrils flaring to gather the scents. I can tell that it is feminine and the voice does wonders to assure me of this. A she-wolf of this pack I would imagine. She has come bearing friendship it would seem and I would be a fool to turn it away. I'm a social creature at that even, that I would not turn away potential friends. A pack's greatest asset is the bonds that they share within. It makes them stronger as a whole and I wish these same bonds to myself as I would any of them.

My own tail shifts and sways idly behind me. A comforting movement perhaps to this other she-wolf that I am no enemy. I was a friend and not a foe. I've no reason to be angry toward another here after all. They have welcomed me into their home as one of their own now. It was time to truly form the bonds that should be there right? A smile gentle on my lips then as ears twitch and swivel to catch her words and meaning within them.

"Lovely. Much nicer than I've been subjected to in the past. I think we all have some of those days though." My chuckle is light as I capture a name within my mind and store it to memory. To be matched of course to scent and face. I would not forget this wolf and her name. "I am Snowshoe. It is a pleasure Maradona." No, we hadn't met before. "I am glad that you've come forward. I have been wishing to get to know my companions now that I've settled into my new home. I'm sure you've seen my three young adolescents around." I chuckle a little here and clear my throat.

"They are Apollynari, Arancione and Sciathin. Two boys and a girl. Nari though; cannot speak. She is mute." It is here that my eyes show some sorrow for my daughter. A wolf who cannot express herself as much as she may like to. I wish that I could help her but I'm incapable of this. I cannot give her a voice but Arancione tries his best. I am proud of my boys. They do well to watch out for their sister and Arancione goes above it all when he can, that he is sure others understand her as much as he does. "She is learning though; a bright girl my Apollinari is." Should ever she meet the girl this female, then she would see as much.

"Have you called Glorall your home for long Mardona?" Because I am curious as one may be.
